Shadou stepped onto the training fields with a smirk on his face. He had been told to meet his new sensei at the destination he was given. He walked slowly while holding his head down. Today he would begin his training for the lightning element. He wondered to himself what kind of man his Sensei would be. Bringing his head back up and looking straight forward, Shadou spotted a man in the near distance.
This must be him….
Shadou picked up his pace while continuing to stare at his sensei. Filled with excitement, he took a deep breath in attempt to calm himself down. He had finally come within a few feet of his sensei. Shadou slowly bowed his head to show his new sensei respect.

Shadou started to scratch his chin while listening in closely to what his sensei was asking. He started to think about all of what he knew about the elements, especially lightning. He placed his index finger on his chin and tilted his head up. After taking a few moments to think on it, Shadou responded to his sensei.
Lighting release or raiton is one of the five basic elements. Users of this element usually generate lighting by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakara which allows for devastating damage and quick strikes to be dealt towards an opponent. The electricity is capable of paralyzing an opponent, leaving them vulnerable to the strike. Lighting can be used in many ways during battle.
Along with that, lighting can be infused into bladed weapons. It is very strong against earth because it can travel through and break the ground. The weakness for lightning is wind. Lightning also can be used alongside with water because water conducts electricity. This means that when used together, water techniques can increase the damage of a lightning attack.
Another element that can be used with lighting is my personal favorite, fire. When utilized with natural lightning, the techniques are much stronger. A strong enough fire release that is directed towards the sky can produce thunderclouds in preparation for a lightning technique.
There are a few lightning technique users. Some of the more known fighters that use these abilities are Darui, Kakashi, Bee, and Sasuke.

Now then, take a seat and meditate on everything you know about lightning, clear your mind and let your chakra flow naturally as you take in the energy of the storm. Then tell me how you feel.

At the first sound of the thunder, Shadou jumped in surprise by how loud the noise was. He caught a bright flash in his peripheral vision and turned his attention to the horizon, glancing at the strikes of lightning. A sadistic smile came over his face as he became fascinated by the scenery.

Shadou turned his attention back to his sensei, trying to hear what he had to say over the loud noises caused by the thunder in the background. He nodded after his sensei finished telling him what his next task was. He fell to the ground and sat in Indian style position, keeping his back and head lined up straight. Shutting his eyes, he started to breathe through his nose while letting his chakara flow through his body.
He began to think about lightning and everything he knew about the element while trying not to lose concentration from the sounds filling the sky. He was focused on understanding and becoming one with the storm. A few minutes had passed and Shadou remained still in the same position like a statue. Shadou jumped again but not from being surprised this time. Something was happening within his body that he had never felt before. Releasing a deep breath, Shadou opened his eyes.
This feeling….it’s unexplainable. I never felt this way before. It feels like my chakara is vibrating and flowing throughout my body at a much faster pace than usual. I feel much more energized...

Good. Remember that feeling, it is Lightning Chakra, you have now molded a small amount. Keep focusing and heading that way to unlock more of it.
*time skip of more chakra molding*
Now take this paper *hands you small white square of paper* and mentally command that energy within you to travel down your arms, to your hands and out of your fingers into the paper. It will react with your chakra and if done properly, crinkle up like it was shocked.

Shadou takes the paper from his sensei and raises one of his eyebrows in confusion. He then shrugged and prepared himself for his next task. Keeping his eyes focused on the white paper, Shadou started to concentrate. The energy that he had previously felt from his previous task started to flow through his arms and into his hand. His hand that was holding the paper started to shake.
Okay…here we go.
He regained control of his shaking hand and proceeded in letting his chakara flow towards his fingertips. Suddenly the paper he was holding slowly began to crinkle up. Now that you can control it a bit, we can do some basic starter moves.
I would like you to use this template every time you reply to a technique.

I could perform a technique that may bring my opponent within distance then activate this technique. If an opponent is in the required distance, I could use a water technique along with this one. If my opponent likes to attack from a short range, I could use this technique to catch them off guard and give them a quick shock.
Ways to counter
I could counter by simply increasing the distance between me and my opponent or sending a wind technique to destroy the shield. Using a water technique on my opponent may cause backlash damage on them. A lightning technique of greater rank may also come in handy when trying to counter.
Shadou inhales in the air around him and begins to concentrate, gathering all of his ration chakara. His ration chakara is channeled through his whole body. Shadou then releases the gathered ration chakara around him. An electric shield in the form of a dome surrounds Shadou’s body, protecting him from his opponent.
Lightning Style: Thunder Saber
Strong Points- Gives the user a hand held shield, that’s capable of damage
- Sends opponent flying back which can open up for another attack
- Requires no hand seal
- Another short ranged attack
- Low amount of damage dealt
- Can easily be countered or evaded because it does not cover your whole body
Combinations-strategies
I could use this technique against a taijutsu user who likes to attack in a short range. Trapping my opponent in a water jutsu and then using this technique can increase damage and also send them flying back in which I could then follow up with another technique.
Ways to counter
Staying out of the way of the technique. Using a wind technique that could erase the shield or surround my fist so I can hit the shield. Using a lightning technique of greater rank.
Shadou begins to gather his chakara, combining the forces of lighting with it. He holds out his right hand and channels his raiton chakara towards it. A small shield is suddenly formed, surrounding his right hand.

Form the Tiger, Snake and Dog seals and focus your lightning chakra into one hand and create a current which you can control to strike multiple places at once, avoid objects and reach very far from you. If it had more power added to it this would be a great technique!

- Must perform three hand seals which require time and can leave you open to a technique that requires less or no hand seals.
