Interesting, almost unanimous.

I've put off Monster for a long time just because it didn't interest me. But the fact that people are saying this guy is beyond Light is truly something. Maybe it's time I looked into this anime

The anime really takes time to get into I think - it starts really slow, but as it goes on it gets better. Your interest overall is probably dependent on how much you like Mystery/Thrillers.
