The thing with Lelouch is that he doesn't really have any competition in his genius schemes. We know that both of them are pretty much insane geniuses. I think that Lelouch would win. Most of the time during the anime, nobody knew Lelouch's real name, so Light wouldn't be able to do anything against him. Plus, Lelouch's geass power would be extremely useful.

But it doesn't matter, because both of them die anyway
