What anime is your profile pic?

You mean avatar? That would be Starjun from the series Toriko. I wouldn't recommend watching the anime though. Read the manga.

I heard people on toriko were God tier. Is the manga better than one piece?

Yeah, they're really powerful. I wouldn't say the manga is better than OP. It's still good though, it's in my top 3 manga.

If you enjoy watching it and it isn't hurting anyone then who cares? If you are seriously questioning whether you are wasting your life or not by watching television, then you are having some existential "meaning of life" inner conflict. It's called cognitive dissonance; you either tell yourself what you're doing is fine, or you change. You will have some degree of anxiety until you do one or the other.

You are right, we take time from our lives to watch some one else living a better one. In the end it is depressing, that you will never have so many things in your life.
It helps me to procrastinate and day dream ,but I have lot of assignment pending which I should have completed instead of watching anime. I am sure I will learn some lesson tomorrow in college.

Well, it's entertainment, like most other entertainment that is enjoyed by the rest of the world. If it keeps you happy and sane it isn't cutting your life away.

I feel like I can actually understand Japanese when I watch anime. I can actually pick out a couple words out of each sentence and understand it.

You're not wasting your life on animes if you're enjoying it. This applies to every hobbies/activities out there that you like to do in your spare time. Personally, while I do love watching animes, I've grown out of it (only watching the ones that I'm currently following) because I have more important things to do in life than to sit my ass in front of a screen.
