i believe in life after death because where else would we go other than hell
Do you believe in life after death or not? State your reasons why.
Yes, after my life ends the lives of others go on...
what i believe is we all have a soul, when we die our soul is release, and after wandering the nether plains for awhile we find our selves a new host body and start life over again
Because the concept of Heaven and Hell is to keep the sheep in check.
Ok,Mr Rikerslade, everyone has their own opinion..
Am I wrong? Were you not told at a young age of the concepts of Hell and Heaven, and that if you did bad things and didn't follow God and argued and disobeyed with the church, you'd go to Hell and suffer, but don't do those things and you'll go to Heaven and prosper? And did those concepts not make you stick to religion and God? Did you ever truly sit down and question these concepts?[/
I have questioned,who hasn't?
Everyone is curious to see what will happen, but why not believe something rather than nothing?

There is no point in having 'faith', it's a form of mental illness, a perfect tool to keep people in line.
The primary goal of organised religion was to implement thought that god is something externally. praying, faith, looking up at the sky thanking, associating god with your cultural habits, it's all pure ignorance.
though every religion is full of scientific facts, alchemy, astrology, astrotheology, and enlightening stories, people are too dumb to interpret it right and therefore create organized religion.
So much knowledge and wisdom available and they still find the urge to waste their time trying to prove god exists, praying to god as if it's something externally, and condemning other's while justifiying it with their religion.(gays for example)

Okay,i get what you are saying, but as a christian I have to disagree on some points.People used christianity to their advantage knowing good hearted have faith in God.They misused them by telling them if they do this or pay this,God will punish them, people believed and became ruled by these people.
Faith is an important part in Christianity. Why believe in something if there is no proof? Faith comes in there.I,myself have seen some impossible stuff, that is why I believe...

I can see aura's myself, feel and literally see the energy around me. When I was in Spain with a few friends, (2 girls 1 mate), all of us seemed to have weird spiritual experiences, one girl had astral projected, the guy had seen his dead aunt in front of him, and he also told me someone is in our hotel room. Someone related to me. We went to check our hotel room and noticed all the changes that my friend predicted beforehand. A chair shoven to the other side of the room and such. And none of us were the type that pull pranks.
It's all interesting and unexplainable, indeed, but religious people just have to use these experience to back up the existence of their god in answer to the mystique of the universe. That's just too typical and ignorant.

But you get my point, because I get yours.Let us just say there are alot of unexplainable stuff going on,whether its God or another deity/force or something I dont know..no one does.I have faith for my reasons but overall you have a valid argument.
I have two sides to this question: the religious side and the logical side. As a Christian, I obviously believe in the concept of Heaven and Hell because it makes sense to me. I don't think that I should follow all the moral and legal laws of our world and end up in the same place as someone like Stalin or Hitler (nothingness, purgatory, etc.).
Logically, meaning I disregard those beliefs, I really find it too difficult to believe that human beings, the only species in history capable of logical thinking and the ability to accumulate all this knowledge and use it to better our lives, are given less than a hundred and twenty-two years (current record) to make use of it before vanishing from existence, as if it were for nothing. The concept of stillbirths and miscarriages (or more accurately, death shortly after birth) makes it feel even more logical to me, because that's a child who spent an hour at most as a living, breathing human being, just like we are, and it never even got a chance to make use of all this available knowledge before being dragged back into nothingness. ...That just ain't right to me, I dunnoU_U
*Jabs you sharply with elbow* Dude, don't be talkin' like that, it actually does make sense, but my explanation would be massively flamed, I'd rather give it over PM if you're interested. ^_^
