shikamaru did the leading... and even before sakura gave her "awesome" speech, bee was ready to take a stand...
i don't even understand why there's a thread to spotlight sakura...... shikamaru, ino, bee and kitsuchi made this chapter

And this is exactly why people hate her, people like you and many many more don't understand that in this manga is not only about powers-up and crazy techniques.
Sakura wake up all with her speech, if she had not said that, then shikamaru and ino wouldn't have done what they did.

lol try not to waste your breath on those people. They can't use anything from that chapter to prove she's useless. Sakura is healing Naruto, who everyone is depending on, she told everyone to help Naruto, and inspired quick thinking from Shikamaru. To them that's useless because she is not a fighter and she is Sakura, so therefore she can't be useful even when she is.

I'm glad Sakura is stepping up her game and no doubt will she become even more relevant in the coming chapters when Sasuke shows up and Team 7 is reunited. Looks like she's finally developing into the main heroine she's meant to become, albeit a little too late.

Let me just say it one more time, people were not giving up other than that one guy who had doubts especially the main characters if you look back just in the last chapter after Naruto lost all his power and it faded away from the others they all risked their lives and stepped in between Naruto and Madara to protect him it seemed to me that from that point forward they were already willing to die without any need for Sakuras speech.

Except she's a main character who was developing well at the beginning of Shippuuden and then suddenly froze and stopped developing all together, not only that but she went downhill after that.

For the main character to begin developing into a genuine main heroine now, near the end of the manga, is kind of bad.

But I guess at this point, any amount of panel time is progress for such character.....

That was before they saw the giant bijuu dama it made, to which they questioned if they could even do anything against it. But you do have a point, I guess it was just Kishi's method of including panel time.

this is a manga damnit, an action packed manga, not some presidential debate.....
whats so good about a speech, IMO, kishi's very subtle, he gave sakura a speech in a naruto manga(which is most obviously known for it's action packed, out-of this-world, flashy battles) and sakura fans are satisfied. if i was a fan of sakura, i would've raised a riot... its just pathetic, its feels like you've all been fuddled... for the sake of all that is good and just, she gave a speech, a " S-P-E-E-C-H" not kotoamatsukami, or ftg..., a damn " S-P-E-E-C-H"

Let me say again that her speech was because she wanted people to help Naruto and not give up because he had no more chakra to distribute. They were depending on him but not supporting him. She was telling them to be there for him just as he was for them. It's called friendship and it also motivated Shikamaru. Her speech was to show her belief in Naruto also, and like the time she hugged and thanked him for saving everyone, and glared at Sasuke and defended Naruto, showed her growth as a character and her growing feelings (not romantic) for the boy she used to hate.

Sakura did a great job but I just hope she didn't made it up to impress Sasuke knowing he was nearby XD JK

OT :: it was great to see Sakura back in action and well she is one of the most important character in Naruto and most level headed ninja of team 7 as compared to Naruto and Sasuke. She has always accessed the situation and guided Naruto and Sasuke to take actions since both of them charge in recklessly most of the times.

That speech was epic one and I am sure it would have boosted Naruto's confidence tenfold's.
