You're the one trying to start something by saying "That was a pretty thoughtful speech and we can see here she clearly understands Naruto's feelings unlike dat random fodder who butted in. You know who I'm talking about."

Kishimoto is doing what he said he was planning to do, show Sakura as the true heroine she is and since that interview was done a long time ago, we assumed he had forgotten her, but he had probably wrote this chapter already or had it planned in his head.

Sakura would naturally develop leadership skills through Tsunade, and had already prove herself worth of that title when Pain attacked Konoha, now she is showing the ability to inspire with her words and like you said, proved that she understands Naruto's feelings.

Yes i agree and people around here are saying the leadership role doesn't fit her some i know are known Hinata fans how can they think she is a leader. Sakura has shown leadership skills in the past even in pain arc in the medical division. Sakura needs to call up her slug XD

I told them already Hinata was going to take another step back for a while and some argued with me she would have been fighting side by side with Naruto all this time but she got a half face shot in the chapter today, they don't like that.

Yep! Hinata's leadership role after Neji died wasn't an attempt to replace Sakura like some thought, it was her character proving that she was worthy of the role as the clan leader that she was believed to be unfit for when she first started out.

I also noticed if you look at Sakura's face before her speech, you can tell she was trying to keep her thoughts to herself the whole time and support everyone silently, but then she finally had enough and stepped up to state what Naruto truly meant with his speech.

She took over as a leader and helped everyone in the village. Running to Naruto's side does not make her a leader, saving innocent lives with quick thinking does.

He's saying that without the byakugan, hinata wouldn't have known naruto was nearly beaten by pain, and that he was pinned to the ground. There's no saying what sakura would have done had she known what was happening on the battlefield.

Yes I know she is a medical ninja but from what we saw from her battle with Sasori she is obviously much more useful than what she is being used for.
Of course I read every page of the manga carefully if it's good or not makes no difference I take it all in, and I'm just saying from what I saw she reacted to a single persons fear not the entire ninja army, of course this might be a dangerous situation as fear is contagious, but from what the other nameless ninja who spoke said afterwards I didn't get this feeling, yes he was simple minded but from the look on his face he was ready to fight.

shikamaru did the leading... and even before sakura gave her "awesome" speech, bee was ready to take a stand...

What do expect her to do? Nobody in the village except Naruto could of beat Pain...

You said she didn't go to help Naruto but the thing is she didn't even know he was in trouble since one of the ninja told her that Naruto took down the 1st Pain with ease. She thought he was handling it fine. The smoke was blocking her vision and she didn't even know that Hinata had gone in, she was shocked when she was told. . She didn't know he needed help. Not saying that she would of went in anyway because that's kinda stupid. Just saying.

People were giving up because they were depending on Naruto's chakra. Naruto had just said he needed everyone with him and they were all going to give up because he was useless. Sakura was angry at that and decided to explain what Naruto meant with his speech, this motivated Shikamaru who in turn came up with a quick thinking plan.
