Tobi cancelled it with his own S/T technique. There is no escaping Kumai. I'm tired of people who say Madara has a counter to any Sharingan S/T tech. He doesn't. Madara doesn't know any S/T manipulation techniques. If he did, he would have shown. Oh yeah, by feats, Tobi is the superior Sharingan user.

It requires chakra to use it, but it's never been stated that the wormhole itself is chakra.

It's a hole in space and time..I'm not sure how that is considered chakra, but I don't really know.

It's a possibility, but we will never truely know unless Kishimoto decides to reveal the actual mechanics of the jutsu.

Its not any regular ninjutsu with mass and chakra, but a s/t jutsu. This type of jutsu warps reality itself.

There is no chakra in the wormhole (I think). From my point of view, chakra goes into opening the wormhole, and keeping it open. The wormhole itself is not made of chakra, so I do not think it can be absorbed. Tobi can counter it because he must have some way of closing the wormhole.
