Let me down

Let me down on the ground
On top of this pretty mound
made of jewels and pearls

This life's spins and curls
Have left me so small
That I stand here lone and tall

Forgive my heartiness
I've gone too far
in loving you wrong

Let me down in darkness
You have been my star
For way too long

Leave me in my grief,
I've got so much to redeem
I'll learn to breathe
Though frail I may seem

I've seen the beauty in heaven
Such a sin I cannot forget
Let me down, simply
to be forgiven
