The Sage is standing with a number of ninja whose flak jackets show that they are from the various ninja villages. They all surround him and he is holding a crystal ball. The Sage and his company of ninja are surrounded by a spherical blue aura. Projected on the ball is Sasuke, Shikamaru, Sakura, Ino, Chouji, Kiba as they talk. The Sage is watching them closely.
Shikamaru: In any case we will have to report this to the ANBU so that they can investigate.

A mist forms and reduces the visibility of the battlefield. Naruto immediately enters Kyuubi Chakra Mode.
Neji: So that’s their tactic, eh? From the flow of their chakra I can tell that they’re under genjutsu.
Hinata: Who’s ‘they’?
Neji: The enemy, about 10 of them and by their level of chakra I can tell that they’re nothing short of Jounin. Naruto, Hinata we need to…
In that instant Naruto moves with blinding speed and takes out all the ninja present one by one by knocking them out.
Neji: Seems my help’s not needed here.
The Sage rushes toward Hinata and Neji to attack them and closes the distance fast, they get into a fighting stance. Naruto rushes to their aid in the blink of an eye and moves to take out the ninja with a devastating punch. His strike stops in mid air and cannot move any closer to him. Naruto then looks down and notices that the Sage has dropped a small black ball on the ground, the ninja dispels into smoke the moment the small sphere lands.
Naruto: Shadow clone? Wait, What’s going on?
Naruto is shocked to find that he is no longer in Kyuubi chakra mode, he tries to re-enter the mode but finds that he cannot, Neji and Hinata also find that they cannot activate their Byakugan. Suddenly black vines launch from the top of a nearby roof and move to capture the trio, they try to evade but only Neji was fast enough to get away in time but he is attacked from behind by the Sage. He evades and moves to counter attack with a gentle fist attack but it has no effect on his assailant. The distraction allows the black vines to capture him as well. The assailant dispels, revealing it was also a clone.
Neji: What the hell is going on?
Neji looks to the ground and sees that the black ball that was dropped by the clone earlier has spread out to form a large circle on the ground with markings inside the circle space. Naruto, Hinata and himself are caught in the circle space.
Neji: *thinking* Is this some sort of seal?
A man jumps down from the rooftop where the vines originated from, it is the Sage and the black vines are thick, lengthened strands of his hair. He is in Sage Mode.
Sage: Don’t even bother trying to move. No amount of physical strength can break my Senpo: Fukahi Kamishibari. It’s truly an honour to meet you Uzumaki Naruto, hero of the ninja world.

Sage: You’re probably wondering why none of your ninjutsu are working. Well, this is simply a sealing technique I made from studying a certain technique; Chikamatsu Monzaemon’s Fuinjutsu: Shishin Heiko.

Chikamatsu Monzaemon is the inventor of puppetry ninjutsu. His Ten puppets were passed down to Chiyo and those were the puppets she used to fight Sasori's 100 puppets. The sealing technique the Sage is referring to is used by the those Ten puppets and it is explained below

Sage: Monzaemon and I were very good friends. Anyways, like Monazaemon's technique, it’s a seal that closes off the tenketsu of whoever is caught inside though mine is designed for capturing multiple targets.
Neji: Monzaemon…the inventor of puppetry ninjutsu?
Sage: Yeah, I guess that gives you an idea of how old I am.
The Naruto in the sealing circle dispels into smoke. The real Naruto steps out but doesn't attack.
Sage: Guess I shouldn't have expected you to fall into such a trap. But in any case, I have hostages now so i would ask you to willingly step into the circle or things could get ugly.
Naruto takes a deep breath and walks into the circle. His Kyuubi Chakra Mode disperses. The Sage creates more hair to wrap him up as well.
Naruto: Who are you?
Sage: Fear not, I simply want to talk. Its really important.
Naruto: I asked who the hell are you?!
Sage: Well in my day I was called Raiko Sennin.

Raiko Sennin means Lightning Sage
Naruto: Huh?
