Was a weird episode TBH, I forgot Korra existed until she washed up on the beach. I'm not really sure about the direction the characters are taking. Bolin was kind of a douche in this ep which seems so out of character. Mako was so full of himself again, but at the end of the day it was asami that saved them with good driving. Asami got pretty much screwed over this ep and then the whole kiss thing was.....weird.
Maybe its because I was getting to into the water tribe culture that going back to republic city felt like a drag. Still i'm really interested to see what happens with Jenora, and I like finding out more about Aangs kids (all things that weren't shown). I really hope Korra washed up on the fire nation.....I wanna see the fire lord (please be zuko).
At the end of the day it provided lots more questions and the animation was gorgeous, easily 4 stars.
I too am guilty of forgetting about Korra, it's interesting how this season has focused so much more on other characters.
I kinda have to disagree about Mako being full of himself, well to an extent. I do think that he needs to place less of an emphasis on his job as a police officer, seeing how none of his law enforcement "peers" will even listen to his theories. Honestly, I'm more appalled by Lin Beifong's treatment of Mako, there's no reason to be so calloused towards him.
The Firelord is confirmed to not be Zuko; he's currently in retirement after abdicating the throne in favor of his daughter.
Interesting plot twist of Verick, very cunning, so he does have such a dark side. I had been wondering how he actually succeeded in becoming such a businessman with that kind of personality. And Unalaq coming out of the Spirit World? You wonder what he was doing there?
But nooooooooooooooooo, not amnesia -.- I hate amnesia-stuff.
Well normally the next episode will be about Wan.
Yeah, I had heard rumors about Varrick being a rather devious fellow, and not one with good intentions.
I'mtorn now because his personality, I liked him as a crazy but clever man, now I respect him for being so manipulative.
Yep, the next two episodes are supposed to be heavily focused on Wan and his history. I'm also a bit confused... is Korra now already in the Spirit World? The men that showed up said she was on their island, so I kinda didn't feel like that was the case. Now, it looked like they were wearing the garments customarily worn by Fire Sages and again, some confusion... they were the sole inhabitants of Crescent Island, but the scenery looks completely different. It looks like Korra has managed to find her way, voluntarily or not, to the Fire Nation. Having the Fire Sages guide Korra to the Spirit World would be kinda nice, as that would be a huge change from when Aang, himself, encountered them. Also, I wonder if they will be the means by which Korra gets access to the current Firelord or even Zuko. All in all, a nice episode.
