Legend of Korra bending

Has anyone noticed in the new Avatar series bending has been somewhat nerfed? I mean, the benders all look weak now, and everyone can lighting bend, but in the recent episode it was shown to be less potent. Idk, thoughts and discussion please=]

Lightening used to be special, so I do dislike how it's being used alot, but it was special during the "war days". Now it's modern and I imagine Zuko learned it and taught some.

Avatar is expanding now. I love having the chi-blockers. I can't wait to see some weaponry like Sokka was. I doubt we'll see alot, but you never know.

It's on it's third episode, so we're just get starting.


I do agree that bending isn't the only spotlight anymore, but that's awesome because Avatar is expanding their universe. I however don't see any lack of bending. Korra and Mako vs the chi blockers was amazing and it was a small fight. So, I love the bending so far and giving people lightening is eh, like I said, but it makes sense.


We haven't even seen all of what metal bending has to offer, any of Korra's airbending, sand bending (which I assume will debut in Korra soon. It was pretty cool), all of Mako or Bolin's powers, or anyone's maximum.

It's just started guys. I find it just amazing and an instant fav, but let it flow and sink in before loosing hope.

I do like the expansion, dont get me wrong! Minus the whole "steam punk" think its moving towards.

I havent lost hope yet, and I am looking forward to later episodes. I just am disliking some aspects. Excited to see the metal benders thou! The bending is kinda just lack luster compared to what it used to be I think.:shrug:
