Based mainly in the present - the 4th Shinobi war. Naruto goes after Tobi. After along fight and after heavy loses, Naruto manages to defeats Tobi and gains peace for the world. But at what cost?

Attack of the Nine-Tails
The smoking corpses of the ANBU captains and his subordinates lay at his feet. As more shinobi rushed in pass him towards the fox demon roaring in rage as it attacked his village… The village hidden in the leaves… His people were dying on his orders. To give him time to prepare… It was time…
Appearing on the Hokage monument, just as a bijju dama was sent towards the village he raised his hands – teleporting the bijju dama away and out of the village. Unfazed he teleported to the gates, his blonde hair shook wildly in the wind –as he flashed through hand-seals. “Sumoning Jutsu” He cried as he slammed his hands on the ground.
The Chief of Toads appeared. “Minato! What is this? Is that what I think it is?” The blonde Hokage appeared on top the summons head he replied as he stared at the chaos infront of him “Chief. Yes it is the Bijju… The strongest of them all… The Nine-tails… Chief I need help… This is probably the last I ask of you old friend..”
“Are you going to do what I think you are Minato? It will kill you” exclaimed the Toad boss. Minato looked down toward the demon fox causing damage to his village… “It’s the only choice” he said. Flashing away he reappeared not a moment later, carrying a small bundle in his arms.
Looking at his son in the bundle, he shed a few tears. “I’m sorry Naruto… It has to be done… Know that I trust this power only to you my son. I know you will do what’s right. Protect the innocent and the poor. Honour each and every word you say son.. Each promise you make… And remember the Will of Fire. I pass my Will of Fire to you today Naruto. I can tell the Will of Fire burns brightly in you.”
Smiling Minato continued “Know that me and your mother will always love you, where ever we are… I know you will make us proud Naruto. For now you hold our legacy. You are our legacy... Our gift to the world”” he concluded.
Looking at the demon fox he ordered his summon “Bunta, It’s time….” At the his order the Chief toad sprang towards the fox as the fourth flashed through the hand-seals on his head “Forbidden Secret Technique: Reaper Death Seal!”
Not far away, a masked figure watched as his plans to the destructions of Konoha failed… He turned his back on the scene… He knew his time would come. And when it comes, Konoha will burn to the ground…
Flashforward -18 years after
His now dirty blonde hair swayed in the wind as he drew in ragged breathes as he stared at the opponent that he knew his father face many years ago. As he straightened up to face his foe, his eyes glazed over as pain spasmed throughout his body. Bleeding from a gash going diagonally from his right shoulder to his left hip, he observed his masked enemy.
The masked enemy stood tall with the demonic statue behind, eight of the nine eyes now open. Wiping the blood flowing from his mouth, the blonde looked across the battlefield to look at the unmoving figure of his fellow jinchuriki. He thought of last advice from Killer B as memories flashed through his mind.
Memories off his precarious people, his friends… Those who he thought as his family… Those people from his village and those out of it. More than anything memories of his father and mother arose... They all loved him and believed in him. For them he will give his life willingly. He smiled – his father entrusted him with this mission. To his son… Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze… For him to defeat this man… And bring peace to this world… To go on with his legacy…
Steeling himself, Naruto picked himself up – ignoring all the pain that flowed through his body. The last Namikaze, focused his thoughts to the bijju he held within “Its time Kurama… Let go!”.
Flashing through seals in sync with Kurama, Naruto finished with his hands facing towards the masked man and the statue. “Forbidden Sealing Technique: Seal” Naruto shouts as he sent his chakra in waves all around him, but more directly towards his enemy. Smiling through the pain, he knew he had done it. There is no way Tobi can escape this. His thoughts turned to his precarious people as he closed his eyes. “Mina…”
Far away – Base camp
Hinata woke up suddenly from the cot she was sleeping in. Sweat covering her face, as she felt an odd feeling in her stomach as she the chakra wave pass. His warm chakra… “Naruto….”
