From this we see lee using the lotus on gaara and if it was not for gaara's genius he would of been dead, but if lee did succeed lee still would be a hero

This thread is a bit of a joke thread i know lee is a nice guy and gaara was a bit of a freak at the starting manga but if you think about it we didnt know gaara was a psycho when he thought lee we just knew he was kinda strange

Lee should of won. Gaara escaping front lotus was impossible. He made a sand clone right? Yet he didn't make a hand sign and disappeared in a blink of an eye. It made for a good story and Lee kicked his ass so that is good enough for me I guess.

No Lee most certainly lost the fight even though the location had limited sand for Gaara to control. Gaara did not even bleed or go low on chakra so to say that Lee won the fight is not true.

Anyway that fight was one of the best ones in the anime. Since this is supposed to be a VS thread, current Gaara beats Lee low-mid difficulty. Gaara improved quite tremendously while Lee did probably improve, he is not on the same level as Gaara any more or even close.
