Wouldn't sasuke need to see and react to gai properly to use his space-time jutsu effectively. Gai is moving so fast, trying to teleport to him and use this combo with a fodder jutsu like chidori isn't gonna get him far. And what do you mean juubi madara pre shinju.

he can see him, madara had no problems seeing gai and sasuke reacted to madaras attempt at him so i dont see why he cant react here not to mention its irrelevant as once his in ps, gai gets butchered. ohh i didnt know gai is a sensor, i didnt know he would be aware the moment sasuke pops up behind him and put chidori straight through his heart.
