Solid ash customs are sweet. Explosions whenever you want, and tangibility.

( Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

You weave 4 handseals, and gather Fire chakra in your lungs. However, instead of converting your Fire chakra into actual fire, you superheat your chakra only until that point that it forms a flammable gas of sorts. This is a supplementary technique primarily, and can be used to convert a small fireball into a larger one. Pretty basic. You can use this at an unpredictable moment at a projectile technique so as to take the opponent by surprise. This gas would be exhaled as a stream, and you would maintain focus over your chakra to fuel the technique.

( Katon: Haisekishō ) - Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user spews superheated ash from their mouth after performing four handseals. The ash is hot enough to cause third-degree burns on the victim. Because it's composed entirely of ash, it stays in the air around the victim like a cloud. If the user clicks his teeth, the stagnant ash will ignite, creating a violent explosion.

Aha. One of my most favorite Fire techniques. I have two custom variations of this jutsu. The technique we all Fire custom makers thank Kishi for. Anyways, yeah. You weave 4 handseals, and gather a good amount of chakra in your lungs and superheat it to only such level that it forms extremely heated ash, while you condense your chakra at one single point. The temperature of this ash is so much that it can cause 3rd degree burns on the opponent, if he gets hit by it. Since, this is a gaseous form of Katon, it stays in the atmosphere, like a smoke cloud. Not only does the ash cause terrible burns, it also can cause a devastating explosion. You would place a flint in your teeth, and when you click your teeth, the stagnant ash would explode violently, releasing all the condensed chakra from the point of focus. This is a streaming jutsu, until you blow out the ash, although once the ash is spewn, it is self sustaining. Not only can you use it to burn or explode, you can also use it to hinder your opponent's vision of you. This is a certain kill, if not countered at time.

(Katon: Keshi Makuga Hara) - Fire Release: Exploding Flame Crater
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user first stomps on the ground, using his fire chakra and making an underground tunnel from between themselves and the opponent. They then breathe out fire into the tunnel, causing the fire carry rock and other debris with it as it travels, melting them. With a single hand seal, the molten rock debris will erupt from the ground underneath the opponent, engulfing them and burning them alive.

A potentially useless technique, but here it is. You gather a good amount of Fire chakra and channel it to your leg, stomping the ground as hard as you can. This powerful stomp causes an underground tunnel of sorts to be created. You then, gather Fire chakra in your lungs and exhale out a powerful stream of fire at the tunnel underground. Obviously enough, there would be debris, rocks, and all sorts of earthen materials. The exhaled stream is so hot that it can easily melt rock. As you would blow the stream, the force of the stream would push the rocks and debris, as well as melt them. With one handseal, you control the lava like material to erupt below your opponent, which would easily burn them alive with the slightest contact. Very long in it's performance, and nearly useless thus.

( Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique
How come the gas doesnt possess damage after it is ignited into a fire ball? Would it mean its just like free form damage? And it seems I was somewhat wrong about the gas usage, it doesnt really blow up at least not this one, instead it takes the form of a fire ball. For a low ranking technique it requires a lot of hand seals but that could be said because of it's uniqueness and its ability to travel even up to mid range.
( Katon: Haisekishō ) - Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning
So the clicking of the teeth isnt a cosmetic way to activate the technique by manipulating chakra? Its actually sparks produced by the flint on your teeth? I suppose flint isnt in our teeth? Not very sure on that haha it sounds like a mineral. One of the most unique fire techniques Ive seen, beating the fire scrolls by far, as I said before it reminds me of a wind technique in combination with earthen dust, however it's super heated so it causes burning damage and it has the potential to explode. Not only that but it can be wide spread for a larger area.

(Katon: Keshi Makuga Hara) - Fire Release: Exploding Flame Crater

Useless? I wouldn't say its useless. If the target is traveling underground by some means, so long as your chakra overpowers his you could create the tunnel so that he could be burned alive by the incoming fire which in turn is producing lava. Also this could be done with shadow clones if you set it up so your target goes airborne, trying to detonate the lava as the target is about to land, if used right this technique has great potential. In fact it seems more useful than the gas technique I just learned, not the ash but the gas one. :p

I forgot to ask you to list the jutsus for method 2 and 3. My bad.

For battle purposes, you can just say you have a flint in your mouth. There's a Wind jutsu called, Rising Dragon, A Ranked one. It requires you to generate a hurricane using the blade of wind. Everyone in battle just mention that they gather chakra and generate the hurricane using the said blade. Hm, the rank is given as D, due to the chakra input. The damage is given as N/A, because of the chakra-devoid fire sources such as candle fire or sparks which generate the fireball, but it should obviously burn the opponent, not that it doesn't, lol.

Method 4: Specifics/Combos

As the titles suggest the techniques within this method all possess unique specific qualities, with the only thing they have in common with one another or any other Katon techniques is that they all have nothing in common with each other. There are also combinations/duel element techniques within this method, primarily in conjunction with Wind Techniques. The two natures being opposite, yet Wind complementing fire well through augmentation makes the two elements work perfectly together in conjunction with one another. That being said, to give a synopsis of the method as a whole would be to pick apart each technique within it, i.e. each technique has it's own specific and unique properties.
Now, can you tell me the advantages and disadvantages of this method, and list out all the jutsus which would fall in this method?

Got it! As for this method, wouldn't have "Fire Release: Exploding Flame Crater" been in this category due to the manipulation of the tunnel in the ground? And it's okay, I thought it was a one time thing haha.

Note: Can only be used either with a clone or with an ally

Well the main advantage I can think of is that this method utilizes fire in a more specialized manner instead of the straight forward projectile or stream. It means it can be manipulated possibly in a more versatile way as opposed to the rest. It believe a lot of the techniques created by this method require the user to stay focused on manipulating the form of the technique so in a sense, it has similar restrictions to the stream method. Another plus is that it can be combined with wind, or other elements like lightning (at least one of the combos) which overall makes it stronger. Although a plus it also means more techniques are required and the user is also required to know those elements which might not be the case for some people.

Well, it could be, if the rocks weren't converted into lava, which is one of the forms of fire, that's why it's in the 3rd method.

Perfect list.

( Katon: Kimuchi Amura ) - Fire Release: Wall of Flames
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary/Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame. The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

This jutsu requires you to have a lighter. You ignite the lighter and throw it in front of you. As you do that, you send your Fire chakra into the small open flame and manipulate it to suddenly form a wall of sorts, which can slow down projectiles and can be used an escape mechanism. Good to keep people from coming into short range. Once you form the wall of fire, you can use Hurricane Fist to form a massive spinning wall of fire, which increases in intensity and range, and can be used offensively then. When projectiles hit the wall, they slow down and burn, which can be a double edged sword; since they don't completely stop in their motion, but, they still do slow down, so you can react quickly to them.

( Katon: Honoo no Heki ) Fire Release: Flame Wall
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user kneads fire chakra into their forearm and then by swinging their arm in a wave motion they release the fire chakra creating a line of fire that spreads out infront of the user acting as a defensive wall.

Same as the one before. Only difference is that you gather Fire chakra in your forearm, and use the swinging motion to release the fire at once, manipulating it to form a wall of sorts. I'll let you analyze this one for me.

Ah okay :p

( Katon: Kimuchi Amura ) - Fire Release: Wall of Flames

If for some reason you happen to have a lighter on you this is a nice surprise style of a technique, in fact its very neat because it manipulates an existing flame and increases it with chakra to form a defensive wall of fire. You don't have to inhale or exhale, its a simple gesture of throwing the lighter and expanding it. Im sure you would have to be careful when you use it of course, you might not have the time to get it, open and set it aflame to use it, though it shouldnt be TOO hard either.

( Katon: Honoo no Heki ) Fire Release: Flame Wall

A stronger and simpler version of the above technique instead of using the lighter you use your actual fire chakra as you gesture your hand to create and expand a defensive wall that spreads on the ground to defend or cause damage. Both of these techniques are obviously stationary so their range is short.

( Katon: Onidōrō ) - Fire Release: Demon Lantern
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user will manipulate their chakra releasing it into the atmosphere around him to create several ghost-like flames resembling heads with horns and yellow eyes that then attack the target/s in a swarm.

After weaving the trademark seal, you gather up your Fire chakra and release it into the atmosphere all around you, upto whatever range you want. You then materialize several Japanese ghost-like flames, like how Oro's Shinigami mask was. Using your chakra, you mentally control the demon heads to attack the target all at once. This is a nice technique to affect multiple targets at once, and can force them to protect themselves, thereby giving you an opening of sorts. When they attack your opponent, each one of them create a large flame. The technique is pretty quick, so the opponent can be taken aback, and is forced to counter the demon heads.

( Katon: Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame Pillar Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra into their chest and then they will release from their mouth a quick burst of flame towards their opponents feet which then errupts into a large pillar of flame reaching 3 meters tall and inflicting damage to the target.

You gather your Fire chakra in your chest, and channel it to your mouth, converting your chakra into flames. As you start exhaling out the flames, you condense the chakra within it, and release the flames as a quick and compact burst, at your opponent's feet. Now, the specialty of this technique is that, once the flames near your opponent, the condensed chakra within them is released at once, and they erupt into a large flaming pillar, which is 3 meters in height. This is an excellent technique for taking your target by surprise. I would only use this in short range, since the target would have enough time to react in mid/long range. An excellent way of discouraging Taijutsu users from nearing you. But, since you'd be streaming the flames until they erupt, I'd perform it with a clone possibly.

( Katon: Onidōrō ) - Fire Release: Demon Lantern

I believe this is the first technique that allows me to materialize fire outside of the short range and not only that but it allows me up to long range! And with the usage of a single hand seal, that seems like a win win to me. As you stated yourself, this technique is great to put some pressure on the target as the fire will appear and not travel directly, at least not as far as from the user's short range which is a huge plus. Like most techniques this one deals burning damage and isnt solid in nature at least not like recent ones.

( Katon: Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame Pillar Technique

I was going to ask regarding the stream but you answered it! A downside is that you need to wait for the flames to reach so that you can manipulate their shape into the erupting pillar so using with clones or a good enough gap of time is best. It reaches up to mid range which in this case might not always be necessary but a 3m tall pillar of flames is nice to deal with low flying projectiles or summons of if the target wants to avoid by jumping over the user.

( Katon: Kaen Senpū ) - Fire Release: Flame Whirlwind
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing the required four handseals Monkey → Bird → Dog → Ram, fire erupts around the user's body and then launches towards the target in a spiraling-manner or expands engulfing the surrounding area in a tornado of flames. Anything nearby is incinerated as the flames erupt upwards.

You weave 4 handseals, and knead Fire chakra in your body. You then release the fire from the pores of your body outwards, and apply shape manipulation, to give the flames a kind of spiraling rotation. The spiraling sphere extends in size and travels forwards, hitting your target and pushing him away like a Rasengan would, turning him into ashes after that happens. Otherwise, you can shape manipulate the flames to form a massive tornado, which extends forwards and upwards as it travels. Anything in the slightest contact with it is incinerated and becomes ash in seconds.

( Katon: Benijigumo ) - Fire Release: Crimson Earth Spider

Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20

Description: After performing five handseals Tiger → Horse → Rat → Dog → Tiger , the user spews out fire that both surrounds the enemy and then transforms into a spider that attacks the enemy. This technique effectively traps and attacks an opponent at the same time, and can be used to force them into another attack.

Simply said, you form a spider made up of fire. Anyway, after you weave a set of some handseals, you gather Fire chakra in your gullet and expel out fire in such a way so as it surrounds the enemy and forms a circle, preventing him from escaping. This requires basically very less shape manipulation, as you're simply expelling a stream of fire. After you do that, you shape manipulate the circle of fire to form a large spider made up of fire entirely, although not solid in nature. It does two jobs at one time, trapping an opponent, and forcing him to counter the massive spider of fire. Takes time in it's performance, so it's pretty useless imo.

You stated from my pores, would I be able to release from genjutsu with this technique? I like both methods of release from this technique, one is more frontal and very strong like the other one stands on the defensive side, although still causing damage if the target gets within reach. Speaking of damage, the damage produced by this technique seems rather high as it can turn things into ash? The only downside as most techniques ive learned is that it requires a few seals, four to be precise.

( Katon: Benijigumo ) - Fire Release: Crimson Earth Spider

Hmm... it is a shame the user can't choose between the spider or the circle of fire. I believe this technique would have had a lot more usages if they user didnt have to release the flame to first surround their target to shape manipulate it into a fire spider. As you said it takes too much time and it would be very hard to pull off without the target already taking care of the flames. Not only that but this technique stands as one of the highest in terms of number of hand seals to perform.

Description: The user will attack the opponent with a series of slashes with their sword and then finish up with jumping into the air above the target and releasing a powerful fireball down upon them.
Note: Requires a Sword.

Pretty basic technique. A mix of Kenjutsu and Katon. After slashing your opponent several times with your sword, you jump above them and exhale out a powerful fireball at them. If your speed is greater than the opponent, then you have an advantage with this technique, as it can potentially kill. Otherwise, eh, your opponent would simply deflect the sword slashes with his own sword or freeform Tai. But, the good part is that even if he/she does that, you can jump immediately into the air and release a fireball, which would come crashing upon them and erupt into a pillar of flames, engulfing their whole body, and would be hard to defend from, from such a height.

(Katon: Hokori Tenka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dust Ignition Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will first ignites a flame of fire across the ground infront of them and then they will enhance that fire with a gust of wind to extend the range of the fire

A simple technique, but very deadly. You send your Fire chakra into the ground in front of you, and cause massive flames to erupt forward and upward. Once this happens, you gather Wind chakra in your gullet and expel out a gust, which fuels the flames, turning it even deadlier. This jutsu takes only a single slot, so it's pretty nice and fast in it's performance.

( Katon: Gōka Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fire Flame Pillars Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will knead their fire chakra and release it into the ground by stomping down their leg and then causing three pillars of fire several meters tall spaced out evenly. The Pillars of fire can act as a defensive wall against incoming techniques or targets or used to attack low aerial targets.

Ah, one of the most used Fire techniques in our RP, and very very useful. You knead your Fire chakra in your body and release it from your body into the ground, via your leg, as you stomp it on the ground. The force of the stomp releases all the chakra at once and you shape manipulate it to form three tall pillars of fire, which have one meter gap between each of them. Can be used as a defense to protect yourself from aerial techniques, to slow down the trajectory of bladed weapons, as well as attack an opponent who's in mid-air. The best part is that you can make the pillars erupt in any formation, only condition being that the distance between them should be the same. Most of the RP'ers make the pillars erupt beneath the opponent's legs, and the other pillars in such a way that all the pillars form a triangular shape, which makes it pretty hard to escape from it.

I presume, not. Since, it's not stated that you release your chakra from your entire body.

Only reason I like this technique is because it involves a sword! But as you said, the target would easily defend from my sword slashes as it can even be done freely. I am not a fan of techniques that require a lot of steps to complete, specially not types like this. But you also pointed out if they defended I could jump to then release the fire, so its a neat addition to counter or defending from their own defense against my initial attack. Thankfully no hand seals are required for the technique, it would make the whole sword concept very awkward anyways :p

(Katon: Hokori Tenka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dust Ignition Technique

I have to be very careful with these types of techniques, they are very tricky in the description. For example in my earth training there are some that mix with fire release but they state things such as " the user can then use fire to X" which means, you have to use another fire related technique. Whereas with this one, the wind is incorporated into the technique itself? That being said, it means you need to have already learned wind to perform this technique and it is still a step up, you release the fire which alerts the target and then you use fire to further enhance it.

Would the elemental interaction be the same against a B ranked Fire versus a B ranked Fire/Wind combination?

( Katon: Gōka Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fire Flame Pillars Technique

Ahh.. its this technique.. I remember it quite well from reading the MS tournament fights, a lot of people enjoyed starting with it, it seemed cheap with the elemental restrictions but what can be done about that? :p

For the nature of the technique it's quite surprising that the only gesture required is the stomp on the ground. That being said the technique is very versatile in it's own right as you said, it can be risen from anywhere up to mid range from the target, three really tall pillars of flame rise close to each other in the desired formation so long as they maintain a 1m gap. It can be used to attack targets on the floor as well as flying objects or summons that are low to the ground.

The overall Wind-Fire combination is A-Rank, so you'd need a B-Ranked Water technique to cancel it out, at the minimum.

The final two techniques!

(Katon Renkeijutsu: Karura) - Fire Release Co-Operation Technique: Garuda
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user after performing the Shadow Clone Technique and creating two shadow clones and then by performing the required sequence of hand seals Dog → Rat → Tiger and the user and the two shadow clones release a long flame of intense fire from their mouths which combine to form a flaming dragon.
Note: Requires 2 shadow clones before use.

Eh, quite basic again. After forming two shadow clones, you weave 3 handseals, and then, your clones and your clones gather Fire chakra in your gullet simultaneously, and expel out a long stream of superheated fire from your mouths. All the streams of fire combine together, and you apply shape manipulation to it to form a large dragon of flames, which extends upto mid-range. Potentially, a useless technique, as it's just a dragon of fire. Takes time to perform, since you have to form two clones, expel out the streams and combine it. Rarely used in battles.

(Katon: Fuuton Ken Katon Bakufuu no Jutsu) Fire Release: Wind and Fire Blast Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offense
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user after combining Fire Release: Intense pain and Wind Release: Pressure Damage at the same time. This creates a blast that is so intense that a standard water technique (ex : Water Release: Water Encampment Wall) can only at most soften of the impact. It was successsfully stopped by Yamato and Naruto's Typhoon water vortex.
Note: Can only be used either with a clone or with an ally

This again counts as a single move. After forming a clone, or together with your ally, you perform it. Fire Release: Intense Pain, is nothing but Fire Release: Intelligent Hardwork. So, after you perform that technique while your ally/clone performs Wind Release: Pressure Damage at the same time, the wind and the fire blast combine together to form a super terrific fire blast which spawns a very very massive range. If you use it at short range, you'll be at risk, since the combined blast is near uncontrollable. It can easily destroy entire forests. You easily need an S-Rank Water technique to stop it, or a Wind-Water combo, since an A-Rank Water technique would hardly stop it entirely. Naruto and Yamato combined their Rasengan and Typhoon Water Vortex to extinguish the blast.

Oh okay, so it doesnt really impact the elemental interactions with added elements, at least not that ty for answering!

(Katon Renkeijutsu: Karura) - Fire Release Co-Operation Technique: Garuda

Indeed it does seem somewhat of a useless technique but like all, I truly believe they have their specific use. Though this one really calls for a specific situation if you want it to be useful. For example, if the user has already clones made on the battle field who are spread out and the opponent uses a low ranking technique to attack them, they would potentially use their individualized streams of fire to take care of the incoming projectiles or attacks and then have them combine into the dragon. All in all I think the technique is very specific and limited. Also the fact that shadow clones are required is a big requirement.

(Katon: Fuuton Ken Katon Bakufuu no Jutsu) Fire Release: Wind and Fire Blast Technique

The big bad wolf! The kind of the jungle, a very dangerous technique if not used correctly. Just like the previous one, this one also requires the prior usage of shadow clones, however it can also be used with allies such as summons or even other people that have that elemental affinity. This combination is very wide spread and logic should be applied when defending against it, it extends into a large area so you may have to use an equally big water technique or one that surrounds to protect you.

It states only Long range, is that the only range I can use it without being harmed myself?

Yes, only long range, since it's not stated as mid-long.
Anyways, if you have no other questions, you have completed Katon.
Should I come back when I learn the 16-pillar bind?

No questions Senpai, if any come up while I battle and experience them I will come and ask you! I would really like to thank you or having finished my fire training, I really appreciate the effort you went through to train me so fast!! And as I imagined, the "faster" and more consistent the training, the more I learn, or at least the easier I retain the information if you know what I mean. This first hand experience will come long ways for my future as a teacher, ty again Senpai! :win:
