1. If you have a white object on a white background, you can't see it. The same with the beam. it moves straight forard a the light from your eyes is the same as the beam. so you can't see the beam.

2. Pretty fast. bullet speed.

3. the beams pierce the eyes and burn the iris. they'll be permanently blind.

Note that, if the beam hit anywhere else but the eye/eyelid, nothing will happen. The beams are tiny and harmless if you don't target the eye. If your opponent moves just a bit, the beams will miss.
