Fire:
It is one of the five main elements of the nature.......
it is simply the oxidation process of a certain substance that is known as the Fuel.......
this oxidation process releases byproducts in the form of gases, heat and light.......
Oxidation process requires sumthng other than just fuel and that is air (Particularly oxygen)

Katon:
Katon means Fire style

Uses of Katon:
The manipulation of chakra by a shinobi gives him the power to literally create the fuel required for the continous Flaming.
Mostly katon (Fire style jutsu) is used by a shinobi in his battles against wind style users
Since air is everywhere to be found the power of the fire style jutsu increases along with the shinobi's chakra level
Fire style jutsu also helps ninja cooks on their missions to cook food and also reduce weight of carrying the fuel load
Fire style jutsu was known as the Clan jutsu of the uchiha clan.

Seems fair enough though - Ka = Fire. Ton = Release. So it's Fire Release.

My outer body now is surrounded by a dim reddish glow
and even though the mountain air was blowing my whole body felt warm

-Hands you an oak leaf.- Put it between your palms, then gather your Ka Chakra in your hands whereafter you release a strong heat from your palms which makes the Oaken leaf burn.

*i take the leaf from Gobi sempai into my hands*
*putting the leaf in between the palm of my hands i start channeling my chakra into my palms*
*from the palms outside i thrust my chakra changing it into Fire as i do so*
*the oak leaf gets charred*

i happily show Gobi sempai the burnt leaf

keeps the Bag on the ground...........
*picks one leaf from the bag and places it between his palms*
*now keeping my hand on the leaves i focus my chakra into the palm of my both hands *
*just as previously, from the palms outside i thrust my chakra changing it into Fire as i do so*
*the leaf catches fire and i move towards taking the 2nd leaf........
after an hour and half i have a pile of charred leaves at my feet with the bag empty*
*i call towards sempai who seems immersed in his reading and show him the Charred pile*

Well then, and good timing I just finished my book. <-< -Claps my book together and returns.- Well seems you are ready, try to focus your Ka Chakra into your lungs and take a deep breath. Then procceed to mix the Ka Chakra and Air to create a fire inside of yourself and then exhale it. As you exhale it perform the index-thumb ring infront of your mouth to use it's shape manipulating and shape it into a Fireball.

i take a deep breath into my lungs and try to mix my Ka chakra with the air in my lungs
i now exhale the hot gas in my lungs while performing the index thumb ring infront of my mouth
and as i exhale the Fire from my mouth i concentrate on shaping it into the sphere
and outbursts from my mouth a ball of fire
i turn towards sempai to know if i had done correctly

For the next do the same however keep it in your lungs into it turns into a Flameable gas thingy. Then spew it out, covering a fair area, and then try to fire it up with your little fireball you just have learned.

Again i take a deep breath into my lungs and mix my Ka chakra with the air in my lungs
i now exhale the hot gas in my lungs while performing the index thumb ring infront of my mouth now i use the little fireball to ignite the gas that i just spread before me
