Okay, so to start, link me your bio with Blast and tell me what you know about it in the series and RP

Alright, that's the Ninja Special Ed response. Lemme go a bit more in depth, though the comparison is on point.
Blast, or Explosion Release, is a KG formed of Lightning and Earth chakra. It creates explosive force when Taijutsu attacks are created. This allows Gari and someone from Sasuke Shinden the ability to release explosions when delivering Taijutsu blows, making it a very dangerous element in close range. With the user generally immune to the force as it blasts outwards, you're able to chain together several explosive blows in quick succession.
The two forms of Blast are the normal form, the one described above, and explosive clay. The latter is very unique and in the series was the result of a hidden Kinjutsu stolen by Deidara to allow the user the ability to knead chakra into substances. With this, he infuses his Blast chakra into items to create ranged explosions instead of the normal short range variant. This is the main difference between the two forms: One is always ranged, the other is always CQC.

Weak to: Lightning and Water. Lightning can defuse the detonation process while Water itself can be used to either contain it or counter it. In the case of the specific Clay Variation of Blast Release, Fire can be used, also, to either Melt the Clay (in the weaker applications) or "cook" it, in the same way as one does with RL Clay, turning it to rock.
Strong to: Earth and Wind. Earth can't contain the explosions and is weak against them while Wind is ineffective to control or contain them.

why is it weak to water if it has lightning chakra in it? I thought lightning beat water? And why doesn't the lightning chakra cancel out other lightning chakra? Idk if these are good questions but you forced me to say some bullshit

Well, Lightning isnt weak to Water or vice versa; they're neutral to one another and have a unique relationship in that they can interact together better than most other elemental clashes. The reason the lightning doesnt beat it is you dont actually use earth and lightning chakra to make this. You use the natures combined to create an entirely new affinity, Blast, that is neither Earth or Lightning. However, it is mostly earth, noted to be weak to lightning.

Description: The user by molding and manipulating their chakra into their hands can concentrate their explosive chakra into their palms to create a small explosive blast that is can repel incoming kunai and sending them back at their attacker or the user can use to simply break an opponents weapon or small tools.
Note: Can only be used by Gari or Explosive style users from the Hidden Stone.
This one Jutsu forms the entire basis of the style: you gather Blast chakra into your palms and strike outwards, creating a localized explosion at the end of your hand directed outwards. It allows you to break through items, repel them, cause concussive damage, and if used right, potentially propel you a few meters. Every other canon Blast Jutsu is a variation of this one.
How would you counter this one if someone used this on you in short range? How would it interact against a Fire Jutsu? An Earth one? Ant questions of your own?

I don't suppose i can dodge it can i? They would extend their arm out to do the technique towards me, and i (theoretically) could duck under their outstretched arm. i probably can't tho knowing this rp lmao. Since chakra takes time to mold, they'd get the attack off before i could do a jutsu. Is it possible that there is no counter other than staying out of it's range? I assume passive defensive moves activated beforehand might work.
Fire only messes up the clay explosive moves, so i believe a fire move would just clash with it and if its the same rank, they cancel each other out?
An earth move would lose since blast is strong against earth. Unless the earth is ranked higher than the explosion, the blast would simply break through the earth and continue onwards.

Well, a gif of Explosion Release is in the spoiler. While it's not an image of the technique above, which is a weaker version, it looks very similar with a slightly smaller ensuing explosion on contact. Keep in mind that Water and Lightning are strong to it. If the explosion is Release towards you, you can release a same rank burst of water towards it to "drown" out the explosion and continue as a blast of water.
The counter you gave, ducking under it, would actually he doable; Blast requires Taijutsu movements to utilize, being a largely close ranged Ability. Because it henges on Tai, the user can actually freeform avoid the Taijutsu sequence. However, since many Blast technique create widescale explosions, simply ducking wont always work out well lol.

Description: The user focuses Bakuton chakra into their elbow and performs one of the two following actions. The user can either punch their target and release the chakra to push their fist further into the target once contact is made, or establish direct contact with the target with his elbow and release the chakra to generate an explosion from the initial point of contact. This one is designed to be used to grant techniques a boost in explosiveness and damage by causing an explosion behind the attack or on the point of impact to increase the damage. Because it uses chakra, it's best to use this with just none chakra enhanced Taijutsu or Kenjutsu (two techniques that use chakra at the same time will cancel out and both will fail unless one is made to do this, and says it).
(Bakuton - Bakuhatsu heiki) Blast Release: Explosive Weaponry

Description: The user focuses his blast chakra into a weapon which he is holding, imbuing it with explosive tendancies, after which once the user strikes the opponent with that said weapon, on the point of contact an explosion is given off similar to that of the landmine fist technique which acts in the same way as to avoid damage to the user.
This technique can be used on any weapon and due to the blast being concentrated in such a way to avoid damage to the user and the weapon he is holding, the weapon itself won't break under the blasts explosive power. The explosion that occurs on contact is as powerful as landmine fist and can cause severe burns and cause the opponent's own weapons to break easily. The effects of this jutsu are similar to landmine fist except through the extension of a weapon instead.

By channeling chakra into the weapons, you're able to release your explosive force through it and cause explosions at the end of it. You can combine it with your gunbai to increase your reach and cause explosions on contact.
