Shunsui Kyōraku is a tall, light-skinned Shinobi awith high cheekbones, grey eyes and long wavy brown hair. His hair is tied in a long ponytail and has long bangs that frame the left side of his face. He also has a noticeable amount of body hair on his chest, feet, and arms. He wears a Sugegasa straw hat and a pink, flowered lady's kimono, which he drapes across his shoulders and over his uniform. Although his haori and obi sash are cheap, his pin-wheel hairpins are very expensive. He does not wear tabi with his sandals. He has thin facial hair around his mouth and on his cheeks.

「Personality」
Shunsui is a laid-back and flamboyant man, evident in his style of dress and general attitude, and is usually smiling. In his off time, he often drinks sake in bars and naps. He likes steamed buns that go with sake, but dislikes powdered green tea. Other times, he likes to chase after women. Shunsui tends to use a more casual speech style than many other Shinobi. He generally refers to his comrades and others by their first name followed by an honorific. He wrote a romance novel titled "Rose-colored Path", which runs in Ninja World Network (NWN), but is very unpopular. Shunsui does not receive a single fan letter or gift for his birthday from his readers, but he is not bothered by this at all.
Shunsui is a peace-loving man who will always try to talk his way out of battles. Although he has a great distaste for fighting, he does not wish to insult opponents by refusing to fight. The slightly eccentric Shunsui also seems to like making an impression on opponents. Though Shunsui tries to talk his way out of a fight, he will fight when the situation demands it. Shunsui maintains a level of honor and integrity when engaging in battle. He refuses to fight with children or even in the presence of a child. He also dislikes taking the life of innocent people. He always maintains a veil of respect for his opponent, is polite in combat situations and prefers to fight one on one. When fighting powerful opponents, Shunsui rarely loses his cool, going as far as to make small talk and joke around with his opponents.

「History」
Shunsui Kyōraku was born in Kirigakure. He is the second son of the high-ranking noble Kyōraku family of an unknown clan. Despite being of such old and prestigious lineage, he dislikes studying and training, and prefers to chase the ladies. At a young age, he became aware of his affinity to the Water element. Since his father was always busy with clan and village politics, he was trained by his elder brother in most basic ninja arts and elements. After the death of his brother, Shunsui left the village to explore the Ninja World. He first arrived at Kumogakure and spent his teenage years there. Whilst allied with the Hidden Cloud, Kyōraku participated in a tournament, and won the right to learn Fuuinjutsu. Moving on from there, he travelled to Iwagakure and learned to summon Toads, forming an alliance with the infamous creatures. After spending more than two decades Hidden in the Rocks, he left to form an alliance with the Hidden Mist village. Currently residing in Kirigakure, Kyōraku has—during his short time here—encountered a rare specie of sea animals called Starfish. He has made them his personal summoning allies together with the Toads, allowing him to call for their aid in battle. Shunsui mastered the usage of Smoke and Shunsui has now begun training in the manipulation of his strange kekkei genkai, Dark release, in Sunagakure.

Bleach Specialist: Shunsui has an affinity for the Bleach element. After many years of hardwork and study, he created this corrosive liquid element. Thus, with at most one hand seal, he can execute any Bleach techniques flawlessly.
Water Adept: Kyōraku is very skilled in his usage of Water release. Years of training and perfecting it has led to him being able to form a sequence of its hand seals at a rate faster than normal.
Master Strategist & Tactician: Despite his laid-back attitude, Shunsui is a perceptive and insightful man. He has always had an eye for seeing the true character of anyone he meets. In battle, Shunsui proves to be very adept at noticing and understanding details in an opponent's skills or attack patterns. Shunsui is also very persuasive. He is able to convince most people to agree to all his requests.
Cognoscente of Weaponry: Kyōraku carries with himself a variety of weaponry, some of which are sealed within generic scrolls. These include kunais, shurikens (Fūma, Demon Wind, Windmill, and regular ones), caltrops, wires, smoke bombs, flash bombs, paper tags (explosive and flash types), pepper spray, candles, lamps, senbons, a war fan, chains, spiked hammers, tonfa, bo staff, nunchaku, knives, sabers and flower petals to mention a few. Most of these weapons are sealed in a number of regular ninja scrolls while the common ninja tools are placed in a number of pouches. Both the scrolls and the pouches are scattered around his body, all hidden from normal eyesight by his uniform, haori and kimono. This allows him to surprise opponents by producing them from inconspicuous parts of his body.
Master Swordsman: While hating the concept of having to engage in a fight, Shunsui is a very proficient swordsman. He is a highly adaptable combatant, as his two swords allow to become ambidextrous, letting him switch them between his hands. Kyōraku usually swings with more strength in his left hand than his right, however, he can easily switch or balance the strength between his two hands, allowing him to surprise his opponent. Kyōraku only uses his wakizashi in situations where his katana is too difficult to use. He does not use them together on a regular basis. Shunsui's fighting style involves evasion and attacking an opponent either in the front or back, using the element of surprise to overwhelm them. His two swords move at a different pace, something he takes advantage of while fighting. While the enemy is at the mercy of his wakizashi's speed, his tachi swoops in for the final blow, which is the most common use of swords like his.
Kyōraku has full immunity to all gases that involves him breathing in the gas or the gas being inside him. Although their physical effects would still apply, biochemical agents/attacks are useless against him.

• Katen Kyōkotsu (花天狂骨, Bones of Heavenly Blooming Madness; Viz "Flower-Heaven Bone of Madness"): Katen Kyōkotsu is simply the name Kyōraku has given to his regular swords; it is not his custom weapon. Katen Kyōkotsu is unique in that it exists as a daisho sword pair, consisting of a tachi and a wakizashi. Their cross guards are rectangles, with the corners cut off, decorated by a pattern of cherry petals and lines, and each sports a dark-blue handle. He usually keeps them sheathed through his waist tie at his left side; however, during battle, the swords are placed on both sides of his sash.

Description : Rod of Fury, is an ancient weapon first used used in the First Great War. The noble family that first used this weapon passed it down to their successors and it has now found its new master - Littlefinger. Rod of Fury is a one meter long rod, pure metal black in color. The rod has a diameter of 2 inches which makes it easy for it to be held in hand. Due to being made of some unknown metal, this rod is actually indestructible. One end of the rod has a semi-spherical end, while the other end is sharp and conical. The rod has in it, some hidden compartments which stores innumerable needles which cannot be distinguished due to its black color. Three times in a battle, by channeling his chakra into this rod, the user can release these barrage of hidden needles from the sides of the rod (costs a move, A rank, 30 chakra, 60 damage) , none of which are larger than 2 inches (due to the diameter of the rod). These needles can reach up to mid-range distance when shot and can easily pierce through a huge stone/rock. Additionally, the rod can be channeled with the user's elemental chakra to give it certain properties. These needles are visible by naked eyes if you see properly.
Fire: By channeling his fire chakra, the user can coat the rod in fire. It causes additional damage by giving burn marks at the area of contact.
Lightning: By channeling his lightning chakra, the user can coat the rod in lightning. It causes additional damage by paralyzing the limb at the area of contact and/or breaking through Earth defenses of appropriate rank.
Wind: By channeling his wind chakra, the user can coat the rod in wind. It causes additional damage by providing additional cutting ability to the rod. It can be used to fight against lightening swords. The beauty of this rod is that chakra can be channeled into this rod remotely, and hence giving the user a wide range of options to use it creatively. Also, the needles launched when the rod is being coated with elemental chakra, will have the elemental properties to them.
