When Madara was Edo, he had both of his Rinnegan eyes. He has only one right now since he no longer edo, so I think he limited to use his Rinnegan powers. I doubt he can absorb that much power Naruto is amassing.

, Obito was ERASING not, [ PHASING or ABSORBING ], all attacks on him via onmyoudon

the fact he couldn't phase was a side issue because he mentions in the following chapter he was suprised a juubi jinchuuriki would have such a weakness , check the scan below:

Madara still has the rinnegan so he should just absorb it since its ninjustu but I really hope its not some wasted pages of Madara just absorbing it and having Naruto remember he can do that.

Madara only used the path techniques before becoming jinchuuriki. Now there is nothing that ensures his use of the Rinnegan.

I think people are misinterpreting things.

Both Pein and Madara were able to absorb or reflect rasenshuriken while Naruto was in sage mode using the Preta path and deva paths.

Onmyoudon does not absorb jutsu, it erases it, as it is reality manipulation.

The reason Madara has not been using any of the six paths is probably because he requires both Rinnegans to, same with Obito whom also did not use them. All they've used so far is the inner and outer paths. True Obito had six avatars, but none of them used any of the paths and Rinbou Hengoku is still unclassified. Madara may also only have three of the six paths while his other eye has the remaining ones.
