This is nonsense and inconsistent. Sasori was raised and he technically only had his heart left in a jar while the rest of his body was a puppet. Zabuza's arms were rendered useless after his fight with Kakashi, but he could use them after he was resurrected. Deidara was blown to smithereens but came back normal. Kakuzu was nothing but threads, but came back normal.
