Mokuton doesn't absorb peoples chakra. Mokuton techniques do.

And simple mokuton forest wont drain people chakra is they come in contact with the branches. If that was the case, Hiruzen wouldn't have been able to summon enma, and the kages would have been defeated sooner against madara because the entire field was a forest and they stood on the branches a couple times.
