I can't believe it, Lampard just ruined a brilliant Premierleague weekend. Scousers lost against the bubble blower scum (LOL), spuds lost against West Brom (LOL) and United got babyshaked by Leicester despite being 1-3 up (PMSL). Fank why do you have to be so awesome I can't even be mad :eww:.

It had to be Frank Lampard, love this legend, Even when he was a Chelski player... City deserved the win TBH, But it's typical Mourinho parking the bus and it's typical Chelski fans call him a mastermind.

City didn't deserve to win, they played the same way we did, they only started to play more offensive when we were 0-1 up. Well he is a mastermind, 1-1 at the ethiad isn't bad at all and bus parking looks different :)

Yep Franks a legend, best midfielder of his generation :yay:

This man is amazing.

Best midfielder of his generation ? Idk...

It's one of the 3: Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard.

I'd rank them 1. Gerrard 2. Lampard 3. Scholes
Stevie G is just above Lampard for me, by a very close margin.

Both are legends nonetheless. If they were in their prime today they would've destroyed nowadays midfielders, The Box-to-box beasts like them barely exist today.

IMO the only 2 players that have the potential to be like Stevie and Frank in their prime, are Paul Pogba and Ross Barkley.

It was obvious you would say Gerrard but I'm actually surprised that you like Lamps. Most of the LFC supporters can't stand him and call him overrated.

I'd rank Lampard above Gerrard, not because I'm a Chelsea supporter but because stats don't lie. When you compare those two Frank slightly has the edge. I love Gerrard, I even used to have a England shirt with his name on, I also think Gerrard is the better passer of the ball but Lamps is the overall better player imo. Scholes is probably the best of those 3 when it comes to defending.

I totally agree with the last part, there's currently no midfielder who could compare to those 3 in their prime.

Lol how is Lampard overrated ? LFC fans say he is because of his rivalry with Gerrard, nothing more really.

Lampard is a better goalscorer than Gerrard, but Gerrard is better than Lampard in all other areas.
Workrates, Passing (IMO the best long passer of the ball in the last 20 years in football), Set pieces, Shooting, Strength, Tackling, Crossing (He had insane pin-point crossing when he used to play as a right midfielder back in 2006-07), Leadership, goals when it matters (He nearly scored in every final he played), not to mention he provided most assists in PL's history(132).

Scholes is actually the worst when it comes to defending! his tackles are horrendous.
Defending and tackling easily goes to Gerrard, Lampard had Ballack to do the dirty work...

Talking about Ballack, Gerrard never had the quality players Lamps and Scholes played with. The man single-handedly carried the team on his shoulder for over a decade and half now.. I'd blame those who allow the players to leave in the club. From Xabi to Torres to Suarez...

Gerrard made some horrendous defensive errors troughout his carreer, while Lampard has been solid nearly all the time. Workrate is pretty even imo, Lamps always worked hard. Gerrards tackles are good but sometimes he gets reckless that's why he got more red cards than Lamps. Well shooting... Gerrard has a powerful shot and he scored some screamers (his top 10 goals really are something) but Frank can place them better that's why he scored more then Stevie.

I think the differences are marginal but overall Lamps is the more solid player imo but I respect your opinion.

Well Gerrard had Xabi who I consider the best DMF but yea.. true stevie never had the quality people to play with after Xabi left, that's why Liverpool haven't been a real threat up until last season.

Where did you get the 132 assists from? When I googled it I only found lists with giggs on top.

You mean the back passes to Henry and Drogba ? These mistakes are not that horrendous TBH, any player can fall for them. He did 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 mistakes in like what.. 675+ games. It's no big deal, yeah ?

Lamps workrates are amazing if you compare him to an ordinary player, but not so if you're comparing him to Gerrard.

Well tackles, yellow cards, red cards are part of the game. And again Gerrard had to do both attacking and defending. Lampard had the chance to attack more freely than Gerrard, because of Ballack.
You'd say Xabi, but the thing is Xabi was more of a libero than a defending midfielder. His job was to read the game and play diagonal passes that creates chances for the team. Kind of what Gerrard is right now.

Finishing inside the box is Lampard thing, he's superior than Gerrard in that aspect. But outside the area I have to give it to Gerrard.

Likewise, I respect your opinion, but I believe Gerrard was more influential than Lampard.

It will be a crime if he retires without the PL medal. He won everything but the PL.
He would have won alot of these if he moved to Manutd in 2001, 2003 or 2005.
Or even in Chelsea when they wanted him in 2004 and 2005. But it's loyalty mate :yay:

I got the stats from ESPNFC.com
They are much more reliable than other sites.

I remember a situation where England conceded a penalty because of Gerrards back pass, I think it was against France? Can't remember. Ofc those few errors in the 675 matches he played aren't a big deal, I only pointed them out because I can't remember Lampard doing stuff like that.

I really hoped Gerrard would join us back in 2004. I read in his bio that he nearly signed but In the end resisted the lure Lol.
I was pretty disappointed that he didn't sign but as you said he's a loyal player just like JT is for us.
Wonder how Gerrard and Lampard would have worked together if he had signed because it didn't work that well for England tbh. Lol

Nice informative site, thanks mate.
