You'd say Xabi, but the thing is Xabi was more of a libero than a defending midfielder. His job was to read the game and play diagonal passes that creates chances for the team. Kind of what Gerrard is right now.
Finishing inside the box is Lampard thing, he's superior than Gerrard in that aspect. But outside the area I have to give it to Gerrard.
