Chapter 5: Art of Glass
I faced the Hokage in the middle of the exam stadium. He looked at me the way he did the other two. He looked at me as a serious oponent, his gaze was almost challenging me.
I took a stance and began to make handsigns. I took in a deep breath. As I made the last handsign, I blew out. A massive stream of molten glass shot out of my mouth and towards the Hokage. He made handsigns and a dragon of water came up from the ground and slammed into the glass.
Perfect.
The glass became solid and formed a dome around the Hokage. Lord Second moved to shatter his prison, but before he could, my body turned to glass and assimilated with the dome. Spears of glass shot out of the walls of the dome and slashed at Lord second who drew his Kunai to fend off the razor sharp glass.
"I see. So not only can you create glass, but you can also cause glass to grow from existing glass to attack. You can even turn yourself into glass in order to give further control and even ambush. But turning your body into something as fragile as glass can be dangerous," Lord second declared as a powerful kick spun into the dome, shattering it and sending my body flying. I caught my balence and landed on my feet. He looked surprised. "I see, you can rapidly change form to escape danger."
"You fell for my trap, Lord Tobirama," I announced as I made a tiger handsign. The shattered glass flew through the air and became makeshift shurikens. Lord Hokage used his kunai to shatter the flying glass. The glass broke into particles. The glass turned into a mist of glass dust. Lord Hokage tried to escape but could not as thousands of small cuts appeared all over the Hokage. My glass was broken into microscopic size and was now shreading the Hokage to bits.
"Water style: Water wall!" he screamed as a vortex of water surrounded him. I made more handsigns. The glass dust entered the vortex and I began to use the momentum of the water to cut the Hokage at incredible speed. I smiled. Little did he know that my glass increases my range of vision. Wherever my glass is. I can see through reflections, after turning the glass into microscopic mirrors. I saw him use water clone jutsu and then his space-time ninjutsu to escape and he let his clone take the hit.
I placed my hand on the ground, "glass release: contact mirror." The water wall colapsed and the Hokage's clone fell to the ground. For a second, all was quiet. Quickly I spun my body around and kicked the Hokage who was sneaking up behind me. Stunned, he jumped back.
"How?" he asked, trying to catch his breath.
"Using my contact mirror jutsu, I can make any object I come in contact with into a reflective surface. I made the floors and wall of this stadium reflective. Now you can never sneak attack me," I answered. I made handsigns. "glass style:conversion to glass" I said as a thin coating of glass covered the entire stadium.
Lord Hokage held out his hand.
"Enough, I have seen enough. You have created a battlefield where you hold a massive advantage. There is nowhere I can go and nothing I can do without acting in your favor. Saimen, Konden, Ryuu. Come here," Hokage ordered. My teammates and my sensei jumped down and we all stood before the Hokage. "Saimen Uchiha, Koden Hyuga, and Kyuuketsuki Kagami. You three have proven to be the mightiest shinobi in Konoha. I am proud to pass the will of fire on to all of you. From this day forward. I name all of you the Legendary Sannin of Konohagakure."
We all bowed to the Hokage, who then left to return to the mansion. Ryuu sensei simply smiled and left. The three of us looked at each other excited. Each of us with big smiles. We all hugged each other and screamed.
"Not bad guys. I am actually surprised that you did so well Kyuu," Koden commented.
"Do you really believe what Hokage sama said? Sure Kyuu is strong compared to the other weak ninja of the village. But he is nothing to us. Hokage felt sorry for him and simply didnt want to embarrass him," Saimen blurted.
"Probably true," Koden added.
"Why do you guys always do that to me? I keep up with you on every mission. I can easily take down the same ninja you do. Why do you always have to be so mean to me?" I asked.
"I said you were in our league. But your not as good as us. You are so far behind us. You will always be the runt of the litter compared to us," Saimen fired back. Koden simply stepped away and started home.
"You wouldn't say that If I beat you!" I responded without thinking.
"Your on! If you want a fight, then you have one! Show me what you have. Try not to disipoint me," she said as she glared at me with her sharingan. I quickly created class shuriken and threw them at her. She simply dodged them and got up close to me. She glared at me with both eyes. I fell to my knees and my body lost control. The world became distorted and eventually I passed out.
I awoke a few hours later. I realized quickly that I was alone and that Saimen had used symphony of the night on me. I got up and ran home. I passed my house and went down into my lair. I began to read my notes.
"I may be weak now. But soon you will see."
