Chapter 4: Dark Secrets: Love of the Forbidden
Little would my team know the reason why I was always late. I always lost track of time, working in my hideout. The cave I was currently sitting in was made by me, using my Earth style. It was a small, dim lit cave under the residence of my family, the Kagami clan. I was special amoungst my clan because I was the first in twenty years to be able to use the Kagami clan's special glass style.
Despite this, Koden and Saimen always put me down, saying that my Kekkei genki was inferrior to theres. I always thought my technique was equal to theres. Despite this I sat in my workshop, practicing handseals and changing the shape of my chakra.
Since I was very little, I wanted to know all the Ninjutsu in the world. I thought having a Kekkei Genki gave me a start, but there are so many types of jutsu in the world. My favorite types of jutsu are Kekkei Genki and Kinjutsu. There was something so aluring about rare jutsu and jutsu so powerful that nations ban them from use. I always wanted to create my own Kinjutsu which I would become famous for.
I got a very good head start. On one of my first few C-rank missions, we had to be guards at a peace treaty signing between two clans. While I was on duty I had to find a bathroom in one of those big houses. While I searched, I came upon a room full of scrolls. Naturally, I was curious and looked in. On a table were five scrolls, all white with a gold trim. They were very nice scrolls. I looked at all of them and to my surprise, they were all copies of each other. All of them held the same information. I was shocked to hear that the scroll talked about a technique called Yin release. I read inside that all shinobi had the ability to learn it, but clans with special skills kept it secret. Yin release was used to develope new Ninja arts. The possibiltiy of creating my own jutsu flew around in my mind and before I knew it, my hand slipped the scroll into my pocket and I went about my way.
Yin realease was actually not hard for me to grasp and I got it pretty quickely. I sat at my desk and re-read the scroll in the dim candle light, hoping that I wasn't missing anything. The hard part about Yin-release is actually aplying it. I mastered that clan's secret jutsu shortly after I figured out Yin-release. It was a ninja art that alloud the user to flow chakra into their clothes and change the shape, leangth, size or even make the clothing as tough as iron. It was rather interesting, but I was more concerned with creating my own jutsu. Creating the Kinjutsu that would make me famous.
The kinjutsu that would give me an edge over Saimen and Koden.
Creating my jutsu was rather difficult as I had a problem. I had no idea what my jutsu would do. I literally had the potential to create any jutsu, but I had no idea what to create.
I turned around when I heard the sound of flapping wings. A bat had flown into my cave. This was not unusual as common bats often flew into my dwelling. I didn't mind because they helped kill the bugs that kept flying in and buzzing around my candles. This one however, was different from the common bats. It was shaped a little different and it was a little bigger. Next thing I knew the bat had swooped down and landed on my arm. I sunk it's fangs into my arms as I flailed it. The bat flew out after getting it's meal. My arm started going numb around the wound.
"That was no normal bat, that was a vampire bat!"I screamed to myself.
A sudden realization came to my head and I turned around to write a few notes. I looked out my little peap hole to see if it was still dark outside. To my surprise, the sun was rising.
"Oh no! I'm going to be late!" I screamed as I gathered my things and ran out of my cave and started off towards the chunnin exam stadium to meet the Hokage.
