All am going to write are going be based on assumptions since that what theories means.First we all know kyuubi has fire element it breaths it and also its chakra is so hot that it melted oro's snake and can be said it's fire element is probably the strongest in the whole naruto verse and don't forget fire foxstream so deadly to see.secondly wind, he uses a whirlwind which he does by weaving his hand once.Now to the main point whenever naruto goes kyuubi three different elements are observed,first wind that blows or destroys anything in it's surrounding as seen against oro and pein secondly he is being covered by red or dense chakre which is hot as a result peeling off naruto's skin and at the same time burning and healing then lastly against pein we saw his chakra going into the sky to turn the clouds black(against pein) as a result of the heat the chakra produces and instantly causing lightning just arround his radius before releasing another heavy chakra from the cloud but anywayz that not where im going,am actually saying that for it hot chakra to fuse into the cloud to make it dark and also release lightning is'nt it possible for it to also use lightning.UR THOUGHTS

Fox doesn't have any sort of affinities, Wind and Fire aren't Canon meaning they're filler materials, and the only attacks that are canon we've seen from Kyuubi is TBB and the sound shockwaves used against Kabuto.

not really bcuz its just a chemical reaction, just look at what sasuke did vs itachi, he did the same thing, but it worked out bcuz he has a lightning affinity . Another example, any shinobi can grab a bunch of kunais with explosive tags, throw them into the sky and the same thing will happen.

What he is trying to say is that since the Kyuubi only used Katon in the Anime, it does not actually have that ability.

It is not considered an ability of the Kyuubi unless it happens in the manga, since the anime follows the manga, but it is not the other way around. If the Kyuubi were to use Katon in a manga chapter, THEN it would be confirmed to have Katon techniques.

The anime creators are allowed to tweak a few things, such as add fillers or add techniques, but these are one shot techniques that are never to be seen again. It's like how in the movies, Naruto has a new type of Rasengan but he can't actually use it after the movie is done.

Also, Yamato stated that when the Kyuubi waved his arm, it was a shockwave, not a Futon technique.

People (and I notice, always new guys or young kids) want to argue that the anime and manga are the same thing. Well, Kishimoto creates the manga and he is the one directing the storyline. The editors only add things to the anime to make the animated fights more interesting and to spread them out over a longer period of time. Only in the anime does the Kyuubi have Katon, but since it isn't in the manga, it's useless as it is irrelevant to the story and will likely not happen again.

The Kyuubi has NO type of elemental affinity. If Naruto was to use it's chakra he would not gain an element (as seen in the current Manga). The only abilities Naruto will gain from using his kyuubi chakra mode are speed, yang chakra, as well as the ability to sense negative emotions. The kyuubi does now have Fire, wind, water, etc. Tailed beast only have Yin and Yang as far as we've seen in the Manga.

Kyuubi doesn't even have Fire or Wind. That was only in the anime.
