i dunno, we havent seen kyuubi face Genjutsu techs + kyuubi isnt really intelligent, just monsterous....so could go in favour for herGai and kakashi maybe, but kurenai vs. kyuubi?
the only one in Konoha that can fight on even grounds against the Kyuubi, alone, is Naruto in Kyuubi mode...

Whole Uchiha clan was alive back then and yet they couldnt do a shit against Kyyubi >.<
And sharingan is known for strong genjutsu.

in konoha i dont see anyone right now to face kyuubi but i do believe that sasuke is stronger then kyuubi but sasuke is not anymore in konoha so he dosent count....

I think that kakashi the best option is because he has Kamui(MS). But i think he needs help from some people..
Like.. Shikamaru/shikaku, Shino, Neji/Hinata(byakugan), Sakura(healing), And maybe kurenai with genjutsu IF it works on the nine tails... but I don't think it works.. but maybe.. just maybe x'D.

you shouldnt laugh so much at the idea of kurenai vs the kyubii because these demons can be easily controlled through genjutsu thats how madara made the fox attack the village and sasuke controled manda through this same method soits not that unlikely
