im thinking that when the 4th appeared in narutos head kishi didnt show us some of the conversation and thats where naruto asked some important questions and i think she died during the attack

then naruto wouldnt have been born
unless while he was being born

Hmm....yea....I'm not entirely sure, but I think somewhere it did say that his mother died during the fox attack. I'm not positive though.....and I don't really feel like going back through every chapter and looking it up lol. So I just voted dead.

i think she is in Iron Country because Naruto's father said for she goes to a country where are no ninjas, and no one can recognize she
