Kushina = Mizukage

From a plot POV it would be the most incredibly stupid development in the Naruto storyline if Kishi made it so. Most of Konoha villages knew Naruto as the 9 tail host and it's the reason why Minato was killed and she had a hand in naming him. She couldn't have been that oblivious. Kishi would have at least gave her a panel where she looked concerned when the 9 tails host was brought up to foreshadow a connection but that never occurred. Mizukage not confronting him for his own 'protection' just doesn't sit well. There's just never been a hint that she's alive from the people that would know the most of Naruto's parents.

I think it's just a case of similarity like the AL silhouette = Minato.

The mizukage has the same color eyes and hair, also the same lenght hair, if you taken out the thing at the top, and straighten it.

I think the village told Kushina, yondaime and naruto were dead, and she should just leave.

I dont think so it just doesnt seem right. It could possibly be a nice twist though there isnt any indication that the Mizukage is Kushina. Another thing is Kushina is from the land of the whirlpool(though there could be an explnation for that).

Kushina could possibly be alive but I dont think she is unfortunately

Well it was stated that Kushina hailed from the whirlpool country, which i believe is most likely located in the land of rivers or near it?....remember Kushina was a refuge of a war so she was most likely made to abandon her previous countrie and move to the land of fire and to Konoha....this is why i believe that the whirlpool country was located in the land of rivers because i believe it borders the land of fire....why else would Kushina relocate to Konoha, This is why i certainly do not think the whirlpool country was in the land of water. Most likely it was during the second shinobi world war when Konoha and Sunagakure were duking it out the land of rivers is in between the two Nations(Fire and Wind) this is when i believe Kushina refugeed to Konoha.....this is why this would not make Kushina the Mizukage....Idk it's just at theory lol

the mizukage couldnt possibly be kushina or even her cousin cuz kushina had a hand in giving naruto his name and his last name is zumaki wich is the same last name as kushina so if he was somehow releated to her then she would've noticed that he's releated to her cuz gaara kept repeating his name infront of her:naruto:

Kushina being alive or dead is not clear it's never been confirmed, their is no one here that can lay claim to either one, only speculation for one of the two scenarios.

Meanwhile as Valkyra says man that would be plain idiodic to have Naruto's mother be the Mizukage and not even recognize her own sons name when mentioned especially after she was present at the time his name was given double duh bro come on!!!

However I will entertain the theory that Kushina is alive though only because it would make for an interesting reunion of the two. Not only that but what if Kushina was genjutsud into forgetting about her son much like Danzo jutsu on anbu. A number of random guesses could be made and some with a sense of rationale, but Kushina being alive is better than Naruto never knowing his mom and nothing ever coming about this mystery. What if the bia has some kindof incredble justu or secret for Naruto the 4th didn't knock that out for nothing ya feel me!!!!

they are similar but the lips are totally changed(votox?), kushina's hair was much darker thna the mizukages. And I think she's alive, but the manga states she died just after giving birth to naruto.

Thank you. I am so tired of people thinking that one person is really another because they LOOK similar. We got ONE of them right people... NARUTOS DAD IS THE FOURTH. ALL OTHERS HAVE BEEN WRONG.
In a universe where people can use TRANSFORMATION, it is meaningless to say that one person is really the next because of their appearance.

Madara controlled the Mizukage, but may not have actually BEEN the Mizukage. Orochimaru FOUNDED Otogakure, but was still a konoha missing nin. Otokage doesnt really count anyway, its not one of the five shadows. There is only technically the Hokage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage, Raikage, and Mizukage.

Wrong, Konoha didn't exist when Madara was born...did you forget that Madara and Hashirama Senju(1st hokage) Founded Konoha together? therefore Madara couldn't have been born in Konoha,he was probably born in a uchiha clan settlements somewhere located in the land of fire, probably something like that lol

that would be interesting, because that would make his father the Hokage, and his mother the mizuikage. its possible, but the mizukage seems kind of...odd. We know almost nothing about kushina, so it's possible, but kind of unlikely. However, there are a lot of wierd things that happen in naruto so you never know. And why would they tell her that naruto is dead if he wasn't? And also, wouldn't she have reacted somehow at the kage summit when gaara talked about 'uzumaki naruto'?

Yea i agree I was waiting to see some sort of weird expression on her face but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Personally I was hoping she was it would only seem right that the one to save the world would have both parents as a kage.

this has been argued over so many times. If u ask me i think the Mizukage is NOT Kushina Uzumaki. However, the Mizukage being his aunt is probley a better theory
