"Nicely done! However, you did not have enough passion in your slap... Let's continue though." Nico Robin points at another training ground, silently ordering the student to go towards it as she explains. "Another simple technique. Extend your legs outwards with force to kick the training dummy anywhere, as long as your leg can reach that area. It is more useful than the last techniques because your legs naturally have more power than your arms, and your hand. Kicking, however, has less control but that is compensated for the force it can create. You can use this creatively by kicking the enemy's legs, forcing them to lose their balance or kicking their upper body which would push them back to the ground if strong enough. Now, perform it to the training dummy."
I'm sorry! I couldn't imagine myself performing a dramatic slap with Kushimaru, hehe.

Kushimaru follows his teacher to the new training grounds, casually walking behind him. It was then that they came to a sudden stop, only to meet yet another training straw dummy. Kushimaru was instructed to perform a kick. With the instruction in mind, he positions his body on it's side, having his entire body, face the left, while facing the straw dummy with the right side of his body. Kushimaru estimates the distance between himself and the straw dummy, trying to take advantage of his long leg span. After that's done, he extends his right leg out in a low flicking motion, aiming to side kick the side of the dummy's left knee cap, causing their leg to bend inward, causing great pain and loss of balance. Kushimaru knew that joints were more vulnrable, specially in the knee area, so he tried to strike with as much power as he possibly could.

"Nicely performed."

Nico Robin enthusiastically explained the last of the D-rank techniques. "We're almost done with this list. This next one is also just as simple. Lower your body and run as fast as possible. Your lowered body would allow you to gain more speed and momentum. Once you've attained the proper stance, sprint towards the target and tackle them with your body. The effectiveness depends on the way it is worded and the terrain you're on. If it is downhill, then it would obviously be extremely effective as opposed to attacking someone who is on higher ground. You have a good amount of combinations to do after you have tackled the enemy. Perform it on my clone, and afterwards, freeformly defend against the same move of my clone." Nico Robin's clone assumes the same stance the original just explained and readies herself to attack you after you have performed it.

Kushimaru inclines his skinny body forward, using his right shoulder as the leading one. He leans forward slightly as his arcs his back and begins to run forward towards the clone. As Kushimaru reaches a close distance to the clone, he leans forward even more, getting very low and striking the clone in the abdominal area with his right shoulder, trying to knock the air out of them as they are sent flying back from the blow.

The clone quickly readjusts itself and charges towards Kushimaru. In response, Kushimaru spreads his legs evenly for better balance and thrusts his left palm forward, striking the clone's leading shoulder, causing her to lose balance and fall backwards from the strike.

"Nice and simple counter. Moving onto C-ranks. The first is rather complex and requires some form of flexibility. I want you to lower your entire upper body to the ground. When you drop your that part of your body down, the back should be positioned at an angle towards the ground. Extend one leg outwards and at the opposite direction and angle of your upper body to kick the enemy just above the head, which of course is different depending on the size of you, and the enemy. This should be done fluidly and swiftly for the best results!" Nico Robin motions at yet another training dummy, as the clone approaches you awaiting to perform it herself. "Of course, you are to perform it and counter it as well. Begin."

Description: This technique uses the entire body as a spring, by amassing power through taking a posture where the back of the body falls down. With this powerful taijutsu, the user kicks just above the head. Because the power of the kick from the ground is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will be launched high into the sky.
"And the second technique. Thrust the enemy with your palms at any part of the body. It works best if you thrust them in the shoulder, or somewhere where you can easily add force and forcefully shove them down. This can abruptly strike the enemy down to the floor, allowing you to follow up with techniques like drilling down your foot to the targets stomach, or restraining him further. This technique is simple, so all I want you to do is perform it on my clone. Once she is on the floor, follow up with a combination of your own."

As the training dummy comes towards Kushimaru, he lowers his stance towards the ground and crouches with his legs. Due to his abnormal height, he would have to crouch quite a lot. He attempts to estimate just how much he has to crouch down. As the clone reaches a close enough distance, Kushimaru leans to his side while extending his left upwards in a striking motion, aiming to hit the clone underneath the chin area, sending them flying slightly upwards.

As the clone is sent flying, he quickly begins to run towards Kushimaru once more and it gets on a slow stance itself. As it does so, Kushimaru stands back up and tries to read their movement. Noticing their feet being extended, Kushimaru quickly leans forward and forcefully thrusts his left palm in a eagle-claw type fashion, grabbing and striking the underside of the clone's striking leg. Upon making contact, Kushimaru pushes his target forcefully into the ground, causing them to make a small flip due to the loss of balance while standing on a single leg and being flipped with the other one.

"I am quite confused. How did you defend against my clones' attacks, if you didn't?
Not too sure if you used the same technique as a performance, and a counter, if so, i'd like for you to do it separately for each techniques."

(I would be using Pressure Palm in a freeform manner.)

(Asshō) - Pressure Palm

As the new clone stands before Kushimaru, he steps forward as he thrusts his left hand in a tiger-claw like manner, aiming to forcefully grip the clone's throat. At the same time, he shifts all of his weight forward, aiming shove the clone against the ground. Now on the ground, Kushimaru keeps his hand tightly gripped against the clone's throat, aiming to choke them as Kushimaru swings his right elbow inwards, aiming to strike the clone on the left side of it's face. Shortly after dealing the first elbow strike, Kushimaru quickly brings back his elbow to the original position, however dealing a second strike, which would be even harder as he retracts his elbow to the original position, aiming to heavily disorient the target as they are being choked.

"Nicely done, I loved your way of defense. Like i've said before, it's simple but it works, well in fact." Nico Robin giggled as she proceeded to move on with the next technique. She displayed her hand in front of the student and curled it in a way that would allow the palm to be noticeable. "This next two techniques will rely on the palm, primarily, and general strength of your arm muscles. The first is an upward palm thrust to the abdomen; by thrusting your palm at an upward angle, you should be able to push the enemy in the air with enough strength of course. Once they are in the air, you have freedom to attack, and people tend to be vulnerable in mid-air. The second is striking the enemy with a forward palm thrust, which is essentially the same as the first but instead of an upward angle, it is more direct and forward. You thrust your palm at a forward motion... Now, I'd like you to create a combination with the two simple techniques. Once you've done so, explain how you would defend against the two techniques individually."

Kushimaru places his feet evenly spaced apart with his shoulders, dividing his weight equally on either foot. Already in close range to the clone, Kushimaru flexes the muscles in his right arm as he extends it forward, keeping it around the height of the target's abdominal area, paralleled to the ground. As the hand is being extended forward, he opens his palm and flexes it as well. In that same motion, he begins to slightly shift his extension upwards, allowing Kushimaru to strike the clone into the air as it connects with the abdominal muscles. As the clone is knocked into the air, Kushimaru quickly brings his right hand back to the side of his body as he pushes off the ground with his right foot and leads with is left. As he does so, he thrusts his left opened palm, aiming to strike the clone in the low area of the abdominal section as they are slightly in the air. Kushimaru times it so that he makes contact with the clone as he pushes forward, using the momentum of the push to add more strength to his blow, causing the clone to be knocked backwards.

Counter #1: Noticing the clone thrusting it's palm forward, Kushimaru gets into a low stance by bending his knees. As the palm closes in on his abdominal area, Kushimaru places his right arm out in front of him, horizontally with a closed fist. The aim of the arm would be to intercept the strike of the clone, catching it directly beneath the wrist area. While doing so, Kushimaru pushes his arm forward, knocking the strike backwards and using the slight upwards motion of the palm strike to his advantage, causing the deflection to be easier on him.

Counter #2: Noticing the palm coming directly towards him, Kushimaru immediately rises his left knee at a slightly inward angle in order to strike with his knee cap, directly beneath the clone's wrist. This would allow kushimaru to stun the clone's hand as he strikes as well as deflect the blow upwards. In the same exact time, Kushimaru swings his arms from either side in a circular motion, aiming to deliver karate chops to the sides of the clone's rib cages, using the bottom of his hands, having his palms facing the sky.

"Ah nice the combination is what I was expecting, and what i was hoping for, to be honest. The counter to the second, however, is one that I would disagree with. It is a forward palm thrust, and even though the area hit was not specifically described, I don't believe you are able to raise your knee to intercept my clones' arm before she makes contact, since all she has to do is to extend it outwards to deliver a forward palm thrust. And getting at a position for your knees to reach such a height is very, well, awkward. It might go againts you as well, since your balance would be unnatural. Anyways, I'd like you to give me another counter for the second one, then we will continue." The clone gave the student a few seconds to prepare before attacking with the same attack.

Yeah I think you're right, I'm sorry. I guess I got too carried way by pretending ninja are a bit more capable of doing such flexible things in the narutoverse, specially since Kushimaru himself is very tall as opposed to other people.

As the clone launches it's palm strike once more, Kushimaru extends both of his arms forward with open hands, his aim would be to grab the pinky side of the clone's hand, instantly twisting it to the opposite side. Kushimaru would take advantage of the forward momentum of the clone's strike to catch him by surprise. In the meantime, he positions his right hand, in a claw-like pinching fashion on the inner side of the palm's thumb area. As the same exact time, Kushimaru uses his own hand to press against the palm of the clone, forcefully pushing it back towards him after his arm had been twisted upside down, attempting to break the wrist of the clone.

"Great, great. Let's move on, the next ones we will go through like the last two. I want you to perform a combination with these next two techniques, and remember, they don't have to be at the order I listed them. The first one is an interesting technique. Jump towards the opponent with your entire body, similar to a body slam. You aim the body slam towards the enemy's shoulders in an attempt to strike him, which should be somewhat effective due to your size and force you create from the forward momentum. The second technique is what you attempted to do in the last counter, the upward knee thrust. You basically quickly rise your knee to the level of the targeted area, within logic of course. This one is a bit more versatile, because you can aim at an area and with enough power, the strike could even push a target from the ground. Anyways, create a combination with those two and individually counter them." With a single hand seal, a clone is summoned into existence right behind you. It acts as a training dummy, and after it has served its purpose, it would attack you with the same two attacks.

Kushimaru leaps forward and jumps off the ground with is left foot. In that meantime, he rises his opposite knee upwards, aiming to strike the clone directly beneath the center of the chest, roughly above the highest part of the abs. This would cause the clone to be knocked slightly off the floor and backwards. Using that to his advantage, sets both feet on the ground and pushes forward once more, launching himself forward at a slightly upwards angle. As he does so, he begins to lead his launch with his right shoulder, aiming to strike the clone directly on it's right shoulder, knocking it back even more with more damage.

Counter #1: Noticing the clone jumping upwards and rising it's left knee, Kushimaru simply swipes his right palm from right to left, aiming to push against the side of the clone's knee. Once contact is made, Kushimaru would take advantage of the unstable single footing that the clone would have and simply cause the clone's body to turn clockwise. In combination with the palm push, Kushimaru thrusts his left fist and crosses it with his pushing right hand, causing it to easily travel above it as it makes it's way towards the clone's face, aiming to deal a direct hit to the face as their body is being turned.

Counter #2: Seeing the clone readjust itself and launch forward with a leading right shoulder, Kushimaru uses the slight advantage of his abnormal height as well as ninja prowess. As the clone get's close enough, Kushimaru jumps into the air and enters a front flip, aiming to flip over the clone. While doing so Kushimaru forcefully places his right palm against the striking clone's shoulder, putting pressure on it as he flips, transferring his own body weight onto the clone's forward and leaning momentum, causing it to fall forward towards the ground as Kushimaru lands safely on the other side.

"Marvelous job! Really, I liked the counter especially. Let's move on!"
Nico Robin explained the following techniques. "This technique is used on an enemy that is airbourne, or high enough in the air. As you know, we shinobis have naturally unimaginable strengths, like jumping higher than normal. We use that to our advantage with the next technique against a falling enemy. When your target is mid-air, I'd like you to jump to that location (as long as it is not like, twenty meters in the air) and grab the opponents ankles and maneuver them mid-air to have them face downwards, then, wrap your legs around the targets' waist. You will drive the opponent into the ground head first; this technique is quite risky because you are vulnerable mid-air, as well as getting into close range with the enemy but it has magnificent results because it could cause serious damage to the enemy's skull, if successful and if the terrain is strong enough. Anyways, perform it on the training dummy, and my clone will perform it to you afterwards." With a single hand seal, water bursts upwards and pushes a training dummy in air, and my clone, on the other hand, waits for you to perform the technique before attacking (a pillar of water will burst beneath you to push you up after you have preformed the technique).

As the clone is sent into the air, Kushimaru leaps upwards at a strong rate and catches up with the clone. As he gets closer, he extends his arms out and upwards, trying to grab the clone by the ankles. Kushimaru then forcefully moves his hands and arms to his left, flipping the clone's body counter-clockwise. As the clone's body enters the flip, Kushimaru moves his body and adjusts it in a way that would allow him to wrap his legs around the clone's area. Once that's done, he firmly holds onto the clone as he also warps his arms around the legs of the clone to prevent him from moving fully. Moments later, the clone is slammed directly head first onto the ground.

Counter: As Kushimaru is placed in a dead lock by the clone's legs and feet, he times it correctly and plays possum. When Kushimaru is about to make contact with the ground, his body turns into a liquid by using the water substitution jutsu, causing him to splatter on the ground as the clone's body slams forcefully against the flat ground, this could cause some serious injury to the rear area as Kushimaru's body is no longer cushioning the fall.

Just in case it wasn't right: As the clone grabs onto Kushimaru's legs and begins to flip him, Kushimaru bends his body backwards, arcing his back as he uses his long arms in order to grab a hold of the clone's shirt. Using that as a support, Kushimaru begins to pull on it, trying to flip his body forward and bringing the clone along with him. It is then that both begin to spin, gaining more momentum as they fall. Due to the force of the spins, the clone would most likely have to let go due to not being able to grab onto Kushimaru correctly as he is being pulled away by his shirt.

Kushimaru readjusts himself after landing and leaps forward towards the clone. While launching himself forward, he spins his body clockwise and extends his left leg before completing a full 360 degree turn. He aims to perform a latter kick, delivering three short burst kicks with the same leg in the chest area. On the last kick, also swings his left fist forward, aiming to deliver a punch directly on the face of the clone. This would cause Kushimaru's flip to subside as his momentum stops from the frontal punch, using it as a source and natural break.

"Perfect! I loved the defense to the first one; water substitution, it's pretty great in this situation!

This next one is quite complicated and difficult to use. The concept of it is based off of a falling leaf, and its shadow. How the leaf dances in the wind, and the shadow follows it, mimicking its movements. Basically, you use intricate movements to closely match the target's movements in order to follow them and set up a position that is ideal to continue an attack. It is usually followed with an upper kick aimed to push the enemy at the top. Now, any questions? In what scenario would you use this technique?"

(Kage Buyō) - Shadow of the Dancing Leaf
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points: 5
Description: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. This move by itself is harmless, but it is usable as a stepping stone for a great many powerful techniques like Front Lotus and the Lion Combo. That said, it also has a rather high degree of difficulty.
"Continuing on." Nico Robin says as she performs a single hand seal to create a perfect clone right next to her. "Start off from a low kick, aiming at the lower body area like the leg and shins, then, quickly move to a kick in the abdominal area, and finish off with a high kick that pushes them up slightly. Once that is done, and once your leg is at the appropiate angle, perform a heel drop in which you'd focus your strength and speed in the leg to lower it down with strength. It should increase your buoyancy, allowing you to shift into higher attacks. Now, perform it and defend it as well." The clone waits for the student to attack, and shortly after, attacks him.

I would use the shadow leaf shadow technique after using the water thrust technique to launch my opponent into the air. Following it up by leaping into the air and copying his physical movements to then launch him into the ground with a kick. Did you want me to perform this technique on your clone? I wasn't quite sure.

__

Question: I was trying to draw the answer from my village mates but they suggested I ask you instead, which is more logical. So, judging from the description of the technique below, I hate to spin/rotate my body every time I perform a kick right? I'm wondering because I did not see it in your description so maybe there were two alternative ways to perform the technique and such.

Kushimaru gets close to the clone and extends his right leg out, trying to deliver a straight low kick to the clone's right knee area. He quickly brings back his leg towards him and extends out with more strength, using it to strike the clone in the abdominal area this time, using the bottom of his feet. He repeats his previous motion as he delivers one final strike with his foot, although a bit higher in the chest area and at an angle that would allow him to both lift his opponent as well as himself. He then readjusts his leg so that he is able to deliver a heel drop attack directly above the clone's head, knocking them to the ground.

Counter: As Kushimaru sees the clone trying to deliver a low kick by predicting the trajectory of it's limb, he jumps off the ground and hops a few feet off the ground, allowing him to avoid the low kick. During his hop, Kushimaru extends his right leg outwards, aiming to deliver a frontal kick to the clone's face as they readjust to their next strike.

"Yes, so you would alter legs/limbs each mini-rotation." Nico Robin performs a single hand seal and created a clone, and planted a training dummy five meters from the student. "Run up to the clone and, with your limbs, I want you to strike the shoulder of the training dummy. Once it has been disoriented, deliver an equally powerful punch to any area where you see fit. It's a vague technique so some versatility in description is allowable. Now, perform it, as well as counter it from my clone's attack." The clone prepares to attack you, but lets you show off you're skills beforehand.

Description: A powerful shoulder smash followed by a strong punch.
Afterwards, the original clone performs a single hand seal to create three more clones. "This next technique requires some clones, and I don't think you have access to your own clones, so here, I made you some." The clones walked over to you, mimicking your movements. "Heh. Now, these four clones will approach the target and attack with a series of kicks and punches, with the intent of launching them into the sky. You, the original, is to position yourself above the enemy and strike him back to the ground, sending him crashing down to the ground. Perform it, and just tell me, how would you defend against it?"

Kushimaru runs up towards the created training dummy and extends his left hand with an open palm. He stops his run by placing his left foot forward, shifting his weight into his palm strike, aiming directly on the right shoulder of the dummy. If successful, the dummy should be forced to lean to it's right side, a little bit backwards. Using that to his advantage, Kushimaru pushes off of his left foot and shifts his weight once again as he retracts his palm and extends his opposite arm, delivering a right hook to the side of the dummy's left face. This would most likely cause the dummy to tumble over. Quickly after doing so, the clone that had been previously created runs towards me, trying to do the same thing. Noticing a strike to his shoulder, Kushimaru instantly rotates his body into the opposite direction clockwise. As he does so, he rises his right elbow, attempting to deliver a strike with his elbow directly on the right side of the clone's face.

As the clones are distracting my target, I jump forward and utilize one of my clones as support in order to jump off of him and launch myself into the air. As I launch myself, I perform a few front flips in the process until I begin to come back down. As I begin to fall back down, I continue to front flip although in a faster fashion. As I am nearing the target's head, I extend my right leg and deliver a powerful drop heel kick, sending the clone's face smashing against the surface of the ground.

I would defend against this technique by unsheathing my sword swinging it out in front of me. This would allow me to create a controllable gust of wind that I would rotate into a vortex of wind, pushing away the clones. If the original continued, I would spot him from above, I would then throw a kunai in order to intercept him as he comes down.

"Great! I expected that response as a counter to naruto's barrage, because honestly, its difficult to counter a five-man-combination in close combat. Nice! And I believe you were referring to the B-rank wind technique, aha. Let's continue." Nico Robin creates a clone and begins to explain the next technique. "Alright, this one is a really quick technique that requires you to be fit, which you are, so good. Kick the opponent in the air, and follow his movements through the Shadow of the Dancing leaf technique we learned previously. You are to do that in order to appear behind him/her. Once achieved, assault the enemy with a series of kick from your legs, one kick from one leg, and one from another. You do that to until you ultimately deliver a kick to push yourself up, while pushing your enemy down. They will be thrown to the ground and kicked in the chest. Now perform it, and counter it as well. Go!"

Description: A variant technique of the Front Lotus, It is an ultra-fast combo attack that requires an advanced physical condition and a certain knack for it. The opponent is first kicked into the air and shadowed with the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Upon inflicting a blow, one takes advantage of said opponent's counterattack to spin around and rise again for further assaults. Since the fall is increased in velocity with each blow, the damage when one is eventually struck to the ground is inconceivable. All variations end with the opponent being thrown to the ground and kicked in the chest.
