Both stomp temari as well.Both characters who effortlessly stomp Hidan.
Except its not really chemically those components. And these are not real life insects.Did you know that calcium oxide aka quicklime when mixed with water produces calcium hydroxide which is a natural insecticide that can kill insects with a single touch? Gg bug boy.
I'll take your word for it regarding the bolded, but could you link me to these feats? Even if the water horn can't kill the bugs, that doesn't mean that they'll be left completely unscathed. The water soaks their wings, hindering their ability to fly (if not, fly nearly as quickly as they normally can) unless the bugs' durability feats are that good.Since you asked me to post, here are my thoughts. Kurotsuchi has no real killing potential jutsu. Water trumpet isn't killing Shino, nor his bugs (given their durability feats) and quicklime could potentially be a hassle, but it's AoE is not successfully countering a bug swarm.
All Kurotsuchi has to do is quickly palm the ground. Ittan was capable of sinking the earth dozens of feet below the ground before C1 could explode on them which is a half decent speed feat [Earth Moving Core - This technique restricts the users movements and leaves them defenseless. A perfect opportunity for Shino to counter with his insects that could travel a good 20+ meter distance within seconds [You must be registered for see links]. If Kurotsuchi somehow buys the time to utilize this technique and sends herself down to eliminate the possibility of getting swarmed from all directions, Shino could figure out what she's doing viaYou must be registered for see links. And by doing so, I don't see any reason why the Kikaichu can't travel through the ground behind the earthworms and flank her.
I'm not entirely sure that Kurotsuchi can win either, just pointing out some things. The only techniques that Icelerate and I think that she should have are the Earth Style Wall and the Mobile Core technique, so I won't address the golems.Earth Golems - With zero speed feats, I have no reason to believe these things are fast. If Shino could handle Mini-Jubi minions in CQC [You must be registered for see links], I don't see why wouldn't he be able to avoid the golems as well.
I don't know what other jutsu you're giving her, but I don't see how she wins or ever successfully counters an insect swarm and globe.

Quicklime can to inflict burns on moist or wet skin, especially around the face, so Shino could end up taking damage if he's ever tagged with the Water Horn technique followed up by some quicklime globs.
The durability of these insects are often horribly undermined, considering they have quite a few impressive feats in this department. A condensed swarm of insects in the form of a bunshin were able to completely withstand two kunais being shot at them from point blank range [You must be registered for see links] without any visible sign of penetration;

Yeah, that definitely isn't over 20 meters, my bad. I'd say around 15, or a little less. But the starting distance is 20 meters, and I doubt the very first thing Kurotsuchi would do is immediately opt into using Moving Earth Core off bat, while the first thing Shino would do is release his insects. Debatable, but I think it's very fair to say that the starting distance and execution of both is favoring Shino though. By the time she slams her hand on the ground and executes the jutsu, the insects should at the very least be within close-range... they sense and follow chakra [All Kurotsuchi has to do is quickly palm the ground. I suppose that they won't be getting killed but their wings are exposed mid flight which is probably the most vulnerable of their small body parts without the benefit of being completely covered by their shells. Their ability to maintain flight never really directly challenged anyway, and all of those attacks used by the SA were spread over a wide area and wouldn't have the same effect on their wings as a direct Water Horn stream from short range. I think the most she can accomplish is slowing them down considerably if she doesn't stop them from flying alltogether. The AoE of the insects won't be much of a problem if Kurotsuchi can line them all up by making them go through a narrow opening in the way of something likeLink to my thread exploiting the Aburame Clan - [You must be registered for see links]
Furthermore, they were literally caught in the crossfire between the Jubi and the SA [You must be registered for see links=]=>[You must be registered for see links] and were still alive and fully functioning [You must be registered for see links]. I find it pretty safe to say that a measily Water Trumpet isn't harming them. Plus, the AoE isn't hitting every insect anyways.
1. Forming an earth wall in front of her and subsequently shifting a small block of land below the groundYeah, that definitely isn't over 20 meters, my bad. I'd say around 15, or a little less. By then I'd think it would be too late. She has no great AoE jutsu or 360 defense to protect herself from a swarm then insect globe.
But all those fuuton attacks were clashing with the Juubi's shockwaves, and the insects were caught inbetween that. Sure, they were spread over a wide area, but that still say's something given the level of destructive power of a Jubi's shockwave. If the wings were really that vulnerable, then the power of the clashing attacks should of impaired their wings somehow. If you're just arguing that the Water Trumpet will slow them down, then yeah possibly, but don't forget they eat chakra so I only see it being temporarily.I suppose that they won't be getting killed but their wings are exposed mid flight which is probably the most vulnerable of their small body parts without the benefit of being completely covered by their shells. 1. Forming an earth wall in front of her and subsequently shifting a small block of land below the ground
Or
2. Forming the volcano I scanned above right below her
would give Kurotsuchi enough time to prepare her following attack without getting swarmed, and also gives her a 360 defense in that the bugs can only fly towards her in a crowded fashion and in a linear pattern through a narrow hole.
However I don't think that the Water Horn will be sufficient enough to stop the bugs from attacking completely so she'll have to douse them with quicklime. I also agree that the conditions of this thread still favour Shino since the bugs might be to quick to attach themselves to her and drain her chakra before she can counter all of them safely and completely. Overall I think that he'll take it a good majority of the time under regular circumstances. I think Kurotsuchi has better chances to win with full intel and maybe a wider starting distance between the two.
On a side note, do you agree with Kurotsuchi having access to the mobile core technique and the earth wall?
