i wonder did you guys even see where i post this thread, this the anime manga comics section, in here we talk about all kinds of Manga and Comics except for Naruto, so idk what that punk up there talking about

well this "Terrible" anime take over Naruto for 2nd placed in the manga sales. it have all the right to be crowned as the best anime in 2012, since the anime debut boost the manga popularity to the max and the manga keep reselling the past volume, which is only happen to the likes of One Piece and Naruto,
Naruto was second in sales?
I always thought it was like 4th or something under Ao no Exorcist and something else, but I don't follow manga sales all that much so ignore me. :p

To be honest, this isn't all that surprising. The only thing which would potentially stop it from getting another season would be those death threats the creator got a while ago. But considering the fanbase, not too surprising. I just hope they don't drag it out forever and end it after the whole Generation of Miracles thing ends. That'll make it something great of this era in anime/manga, not allowing it to grow.

Maybe when it ends there'll cease to be anything porn related with Aomine in it.

I wasn't talking about manga sales... I know Kuroko no Basket was ranked highly in manga sales. But, it's not the most popular anime of 2012. Gintama Enchouseni is actually the best ranked anime of 2012, and is ranked 5. Kuroko no Basket is ranked 31.

MAL has always had Gintama as the most popular anime for pretty much when it came out. Not to mention it would have had a huge following from the previous season, even if it's only reruns of older episodes. Every site is different, but you need to take into account these previous fanbases which Gintama had and will receive high votes, and which Kuroko no Basuke didn't have.

you see as i said earlier the debut of Kuroko anime boost the manga popularity, it means people who watched the anime become interested with the series and buy the manga which mean because of the anime the manga begin to sell like crazy, that alone explain that the Anime is pretty well made with good pace,

am not talking about popularity here, but am talking which manga deserve to be the best in 2012, which is Kuroko cause the anime manage to boost/help the manga, it have an actual impact for the series, unlike all those Anime based on manga in 2012 which is pretty much shit and don't affect the manga sales,

so i see that you're on MAL, well you shouldn't take those top anime list seriously, and both Gintama and Natsume you mention up there is pretty much my favorite anime, so i know everything about that anime and know where it should be placed.
"i expect nothing less from the best Anime in 2012". In the OP, that's what you said. Implying you were talking about the anime, not the manga. What I said was, that Kuroko is not the best anime of 2012. I said nothing about the manga, so I'm not sure why you even mentioned it.

ah the death treats, i wonder what started that cowardly act, do you know something about it ?
yeah i agree they should end this manga after Seirin Beat Rakuzan in the final, there is no need for another "new Character" but maybe some chapter about Japan All star team will be good, i mean sport manga in japan do something all the time....

why mention the manga ? because that's where you can see the "impact" of the anime *duh* let alone the fact that it was based on manga
Its not the best anime in 2012 ? well it was the impact is outstanding as i said in my previous post, problem ?

I haven't heard much about it, but I know it involved some sort of Kuroko no Basuke convention and the mangaka receiving death threats to cancel it or something. I didn't look too much into it, but as I recall they actually worked, and this convention was shut down.

I loved that anime so much, Kuroko and Kagami are gonna play that purple haird guy from Teikou. I totally forgot his name :p
That guy is
Murasakibara! :D

If you want to know now what happens in that game

Seirin VS Yosen High in the Winter Cup Quarter Finals.
Yosen has kept their previous teams scoreless through their unbreakable iron defense, mainly through Murasakibara. The game starts with Yosen dominating with Mura and Himuro (Kagami's friend from USA), however, Kagami starts playing extremely well and eventually he owns them both, even the 2m tall Murasakibara, with Seirin winning 81-77. It was a very intense game!

I for one enjoyed Kuroko no Basket. I've never been a sports fan but the way Kuroko utilizes Shounen tropes in the midst of basketball matches somehow just makes it awesome. Not to mention the characters are incredibly likeable.

I don't know if I'd say Kuroko is the best anime of 2012 but it's definitely up there somewhere. If we count stories carried over from 2011 then Fate/Zero and Mirai Nikki probably top it for me. 2012 alone I'd say Accel World tops it for me personally. Regardless though Kuroko was fantastic and really caught me off guard.
