Bleach is an awesome anime - dont get me wrong i love it. I love the diversity of all characters and abilities. But one thing i hate about kubo is that he trashes characters too often.

Let me use a few examples -

So first, Shinji uses his bankai for the first time ( great we got to see it) against bambietta and gets owned. no complaints about that. He then gets healed and doesnt die. typical of kubo. Then, he encounters bazz-b later on, while he was still in recovery mode, and then gets owned again! Like why? why kubo? why would you make him get owned again instead putting another character infront of bazzb? and yes shinji did get own by bazzb because he went on to fight ichigo after that so theres proof. Now im not done, if you're currently reading the manga, shinji gets owned again by miracle the quincy!!! like why kubo? lol i think by now you guys get my point.

Second example is ichigo. So ichigo goes up to the zero squad palace and gets hella strong - new powers new swords new everything. I'm like man, ichigo must be untouchable i cant wait to see his abilities. when he first came down from the palace and took on several quincies that was great. It showed off his training. But then!!!! if you read the manga, he gets get owned by quincy like if he was a noob! kubo skips the fight between them and has ichigo laying on the floor helpless! like what was all the training for?! when an anime character trains and becomes stronger, he usually owns the villain or they both put up a good fight. Kubo has a habit od discrediting the training of the a character. correct me if i wrong.

Third Example is Byakuya - gets owned by as nodt - nearly dead, then gets healed and comes back. He gets way stronger and kills as nodt with just his shikai. it was almost too easy. no complaints. i was like man his bankai and new abilities must be super strong. I actually i was going to see byakuya fight head on with another quincy with his full powers but no!!. kubo trashed byakuya too. Miracle one shotted him and made him look weak. what was all the training for kubo ! for this. jesus. you guys know where im going with this. Kubo shatters expectations.

Fourth Example is shuuhei hisagi! during this war arc, they showed a panel of kensei telling him that he needs to go bankai on his fight. i super excited to hear that because i love his shikai form. so again, im anticipating something great from this character. fast forward - he gets one shotted by the sniper quincy like if he was fodder!! omg really kubo.

Fifth Example is Kenpachi! war arc - he kills three quincies which gave me goosebumps! i mean he is kenpachi the god so no complaints. he then gets owned by bach like if he was a butterfly. kubo of course skips the fight. i was mad but not too mad. He then gets healed and trained by unohana. great. he comes back and fights the strongest quicy and unveils his shikai form. great. Right after that, he then gets jumped by the three female quincies. Almost died. No complaints. He was a bit too strong so kubo had to own him a bit no complaints. But then, after he got healed again, he tags along with mayuri to fight the weird quincy with nerve powers. He gets owned again! he looked worthless. i know that the quincy was a bad matchup for him but damn. kenpachi got his legs torned off along with his arm. kubo discredited his strength. jeez

Moral of my discussion is that kubo's writing style pisses me off sometimes. He gets my expectations high and then crushes them . Who agrees.

1) Shinji's bankai was revealed? When?
2) Ichigo was caught off guard, but I felt the same initially.
3) Byakyua should have died imo, he serves no purpose to the story now.
4) shuuhei, I agree with.
5) Kenpachi has gotten plenty of growth in this arc, so it's not really an issue.

lets not forget about grimmjow! jesus! we all got excited when we saw grimmjow! first fight back - he gets one shotted . lmao. you're joke kubo!
ooommggg #PREAAAACH

Grimmjow getting one shotted and Kenpachi getting his legs and arms torn we're the most disrespectful moments in bleach history. It should of been expected since Kudo knows how to troll better than he know how to develop a character :/

1: Shinji never used his bankai.
2: Ichigo has a habit of getting massive powerups then still losing whatever fight he is in unless someone else interferes (eg, Grimjow, Nnoitora, Ulquiora, Yammy, Aizen, Kirge, Askin)
3: agreed. no idea why kubo needed to make gerard so OP, when the last two characters who's powers are "is big" got trashed.
4: also agreed. not to mention he got his ass kicked by mask, and according to kensei he "didnt get to show the results of his training". really want to see a bankai from him.
5: Well, kenpachi doesnt really strategise in fights. the closest to strategising is charging in pointy bit of his sword first, rather than sharp bit first.
