So we got no idea how Danzo handled it and took shishi's eye by force.
But I think its just a normal genjutsu with just a different approach/function. The thing why this technique is dangerous is because the target doesn't get to know that he is under a genjutsu. Other than that I think if the opponent is also know how to deal with genjutsu and wont let their guard down then this technique wont matter.
Thats what I think otherwise people like Madara, Hashirama etc wont stand a chance against Shisui, so this must be the weakness of the technique.

If the opponent is not aware that he's facing someone that possesses such a jutsu, I don't think there is a counter against it, even for Madara.

I have a feeling there's more to the jutsu than people know and some weakness.....there's no way it would be absolute

perhaps there's a limit to what the user can influence....like you can't have them kill themselves or something like that?

I doubt it works on perfect jinchuriki's either since the biju can still snap the host out of it.

What I am curious is what sort of genjutsu Obito used on yagura to control him.....that seemed like KA

Most genjutsus are casted without the target noticing it.I think what makes KA unique and very powerful isthat it distorts and changes memories of the user,so that makes it harder to be noticed by the victim.I don't think it can solo everybody, a good genjutsu user might be able to realise the technique before it gets too deep and break it.Danzo managed to break it.Plus KA can't be spammed or used twice,it needs 10 years cool off.I think it's more a strategical move rather than an offensive technique.

Thing is not to get caught in it. You cannot really dispell this genjutsu if you don't know that you are under it right?

So the best opponent against Shisui would be Gai as he is accustomed not to look in the eyes, because Shisui is not skilled as Itachi to cast a genjutsu by means other than by eyesight

shisui can use it with both eyes, and he can make you do whatever he wants.
if someone tells you of it then you could snap out of it maybe..
but if he makes you do reasonable things you should fall for it everytime .

ahahahaahahahahhahaha yeah its soo powerful the only guy ever shown using it died, without using it on danzo(the guy who killed him)! I assume shisui rigged the eye himself before giving it itachi and that itachi couldn't use it since he implanted the eye in a crow and never actually used it himself.

By hype it takes any one. Only obito could counter as he did with mind transfer.

Shisui was anbu under danzo he either gave the eye under orders or danzo took advantage of trust and used cursed mark. Either way i dont believe real fight took place.
