[Discussion] Korra the first avatar

The argument could be made, now that she broke the bond with the previous Avatar, that Korra is now going to be recognized as the first Avatar to future generations. Do you think they'll find some way to bridge the Avatars back and if not do you think they will teach about Avatar Wan or Kyoshi or Aang?

I think they will remember the past avatars, and that Korra will be recognized only as one of them (not the 1st Avatar). But i don't think that the next Avatar will have connection with the ones before Korra.

That depends on how you look at it. Wan was the first Avatar, there were no predecessors, followed up by 10 000 years of Avatar-generations. Regardless whether Korra has contact with them or not, she was not the first Avatar. She can however be considered as the first Avatar of a new cycle, Avatar 2.0 if you will, if she doesn't reestablish her connection with her past lives as the line got temporary broken and reforged.

Still don't like it though. I read somewhere they confirmed that she will not be able to contact her past lives again, but to me that really feels like the entire TLA series did not happen.

She's the first of her generation. If we consider each harmonic conversion a generation.

I thought her connection wasn't lost since Rava merged back in with her. I don't think she will be recognized as the first avatar since everyone still remembers previous avatars. Although she is the first to re-connect the worlds (spirit and human), metal bend, and 2nd to go through harmonic convergence.

No any future avatars who tak to her can ask her if shes the first and she can answer with no wan was, she saw his story she can show other avatars as well.

It's sad that the future avatars could no longer connect to the past avatars. Hopefully something happens along this till the end of book 4.

All she has to do is just visit every nation. And then entering every temple sanctuary in the solstice,,,and maybe...just maybe korra can get something from there,....
