[Emerges from the lake and gets struck on the head by the pebble]

Ouch.. and they say first impressions last, doesn't look too good.

Anyhows, you violent pebble throwing student of mine tell me everything you know about the water element, what can be done with it and it's properties and such just anything that comes to mind just to see how much general knowledge you have on the element.

My apologies senpai... Ahem. Well Suiton is the element of water aka H2O aka dyhydrogen oxide. When Suiton is normally used it is in its liquid state. It can either be created by turning pure chakra into a form that mimics water or by using one's chakra to manipulate existing water. The solid form of water known as Ice and the gas form of water known as steam can only be created through mixing water with other elements through the use of Kekkei Genkais. Contrary to popular belief mist is not water in gaseous state. Mist consists of tiny suspended liquid water pellets in the air.

Suiton generally deals damage via concussive force although it can deal damage by other ways. Suiton has an advantage when opposed with with Katon. Water puts out fire by displacing oxygen and absorbing heat. If a Katon over comes the advantage enough to equal out then steam with be the result which can result in a steamscreen. Kinda like a smokescreen but with steam. Suiton is at a disadvantage against doton because soil/earth naturally absorbs water and dissipate the physical force. Water can also be used in combination with Fuuton to increase the concussive force of it. Water being a liquid can also easily change its shape thus is very versatile.

Generally uses of suiton include creating a large amount of water for the use of other suitons, creating a thick chakra mist that even blinds the sharingan, through the use of the Hozuki Clan's Kekkei Genkai they can change themselves into water and make them impervious to physical attacks, countering katons, and dealing concussive force or a torrent of water to carry things.

Nice explanation ^^

Now, let's first begin by letting you experience the sensation of molding water chakra to do so for the first time we'll use special chakra papers [tosses you a few] hold one between your palms and send your chakra into it, however when doing so concentrate on the properties of water, the ins and outs of the element while blocking out anything else. You'll know you got it right if the paper turns soaked and you'll have to hold onto that feeling when we proceed with the techniques.

Great!

I take the special paper for Tybone Senpai and kick off my sandals. Then I walk into lake until I am knee deep in water. While standing I enter a meditative state, cuff my hands around the paper, and start concentrating chakra into it. In my mind everything starts to disappear until the lake and I are the only things left. The feeling of the water overcomes me. I sense the liquid element and its freedom. Its freedom to take the shape of its container. I sense its low viscosity and tendency to move when any sort of force is applied to it. Unexpectedly I feel something wet in between my hands. I had forgot the whole reason why I was meditating. I awake from my meditative state to see a very wet paper in between my hands. uickly, I run over to Tybone senpai and present him the remains of the paper.

Here you go Senpai. I think I put too much suiton chakra into the paper. Its practically falling apart.

Very good ^^

Now, hold onto that feeling and mold your chakra to materialize water with the following techniques and be sure to ask any questions that may pop up. For every technique you perform I also want you to analyze them by listing anything that comes up when you read the description aswell as pros and cons of the technique.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

This technique is quite versatile, you can create small sources of water to produce a wave, blast or a shield of water by materializing the water from either your limbs by mixing your chakra with the moisture in the air to materialize it or by expelling it from your mouth. You can also use a pre-existing source of water to execute this technique, upto you really. Perform the technique and analyze it.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

This technique allows you to create a thick mist to cover the battlefield. To produce said mist you either expel it from your mouth or lift up tiny water pellets from a pre-existing water source and spread it out across the battlefield. The mist is filled with your chakra and allows you to reveal or hide yourself from your opponent at will. The mist can also hide your presence from Sharingan and Rinnegan users due to the chakra residing within it. Perform and analyze.

Thanks Senpai!

Doing as directed I start to remember the feeling of water and all of its physical properties. I then start to gather and mold chakra and with the use to nature transformation, I make it mimic water. I gather the suiton chakra in my hands and expel out blasts of water.

As you said this technique is versatile. It can be used to quickly form shields to block low ranking jutsu and C rank katons. The jutsu also doesnt require a water source and the blasts of water can come from ones own body or their water source. Cons would be the relatively low power in the techniques and its requirement for an imagination to be effective.

Question. If I am standing on water, can I use the Water Technique to manipulate water mid range of my current location assume its from the same body of water I am standing on? And can the water shields be used to block taijutsu of equal rank or possibly even higher? I know elements have the advantage over raw chakra but I don't know the actual rules when it comes in contact with Taijutsu.

Now Hidden Mist Jutsu.

I start by gathering and molding suiton chakra in my lungs. I then apply shape manipulation to turn the suiton chakra into very little droplets of water(mist) and exhale it through my mouth. The Mist covers a long range radius from my current point.

This jutsu can be great for covering ones steps. Its most effective if the user has a way to perceive their opponent while their opponent doesnt have a way to perceive the user. This works great with sensor types and the byakugan. Jutsu like the Silent Killing Technique go great with this jutsu as well. A con would be that it hinders the Sharingan of my Sasuke bio. Since I am not a sensor then I am limited to my sense of hearing. An inuzuka might be able to get by using their sense of smell though.

Another question. I have faced this jutsu quite a bit. Generally speaking I countered it by attacking the user before they could get the jutsu off. How exactly does one get rid of the fuuton. A a large powerful enough katon be used to evaporate all of the mist or cause the heated air to rise and lift the mist. Also can fuutons blow it away? If so what are the specifications for such? I assume the range of the fuuton would have to be the same as whatever the HIdden Mist jutsus is and the rank would have to be equal or greater.

Yes to everything except for the taijutsu part, the water lacks solidity and I wouldn't risk using this technique to block a higher ranked taijutsu attack.

Mist can be blown away by wind yes, using fire won't really do the trick especially since fire + water only results in more steam and mist lol.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

Pretty simple, mold your water chakra in the palm of your hand and materialize water while shaping it into a sword, which although being composed of water has a certain extent of solidity capable of cutting and piercing like a normal sword.

( Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

Another water technique which has a certain extent of solidity. Release water chakra from one of your arms while holding it outward and then create a shield of water on it capable of defending yourself against projectile weapons such as kunai and low ranked close combat techniques.

Interesting. Well anyway... My chakra start to collect in my palm. I apply nature transformation in order change its characteristics and have them mimic that of water. Once that is done I use shape manipulation to change the suiton chakra into the shape of a sword.

First and for most this jutsu allows the user to have a sword if for whatever reason they dont have one. It is directly countered by the earth tools created by the low ranking dotons. The Jutsu itself isnt all that powerful but it can be depending on the user creativity and kenjutsu skills. It can also be used to dual wield if the user already has a sword.

Similar to before, I start to gather suiton chakra in my right forearm. I then start to release the suiton chakra and apply shape manipulation to shange its shape into the that of a small trapezoid shield.

This is a good technique to go with the Sword of Draining. The sword and shield is a classic and powerful combo. If someone were to punch the shield using freeform taijutsu, then the user could apply raiton chakra to the shield for some offensive damage.

Not bad ^^ let's proceed.

(Suiton: Suiben) - Water Release: Water whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

Pretty basic, weave the required string of hand seals while molding your water chakra within one of your hands and manifest within the palm of your hand a source of water whilst shaping it into a whip which you can then lash towards your target to simply strike them or use the whip to bind your target. This technique is best used in conjunction with a lightning technique, channeling it through the whip to electrify your target whilst they are bound by it.

(Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

This technique can be useful, though you need the right situation for that. After weaving the required hand seals expel from your mouth a high-viscosity, chakra infused water giving it sticky properties and spit it across the surface of a wide area effectively trapping anyone who would be atop of it without any countermeasures. The technique however can easily be countered if one were to simply channel chakra to the soles of their feet ignoring the sticky substance and simply walk across it.

I perform the 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, and start to gather suiton chakra in my right hand. I then use shape manipulation to have the water keep form while still being a liquid and elongate into a whip. I then whip and near by tree.

The Water Whip has many uses. It can be used to swing from branches, hitting objects or incoming projectiles, constricting your target among other things. A weakness is that the whip serves as a medium between the target. They too can conduct raitons through the whip back into the user so the user has to be wary of that.

Now I performed the hand seals Ram → Tiger. I then start to gather suiton chakra in my mouth. Instead of having the low viscosity of normal water, the suiton has a high viscosity. Next I spit out the sticky liquid at a near by tree.

This jutsu is great against taijutsu specialist and swift release user, however rare they are. It prevents the use of their jutsu somewhat. A pond worth of the jutsu could also be a makeshift Swamp of the Underworld. Also wouldnt concentrating chakra in ones feet be considered free form thus not an adequate defense.

(Mizu Bunshin) - Water Release: Water Clone
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Supplementary
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a clone of themselves made of water. These water clones have 1/10th of the users chakra. These clones are also limited in that they can only travel short range from the user without losing control. When a water clone take enough damage they revert back to normal water.
Note: Can only perform up to C rank Water techniques and requires a water source.

Form the Tiger hand seal whilst focusing your chakra into a nearby water source. Then use your chakra to create an exact copy of yourself composed solely of water. The clone however is quite weak compared to other variations of the clone techniques as they can only travel upto short range away from you and can't perform any techniques except for upto C-Rank water.

(Suiton: Suigandan) - Water Release: Water Fang Bullet
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Offense
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.
Note: Requires a water source.

Send your chakra into a water source and bring forth a liquid mass from it sending it off towards your target in a spinning motion increase it's pressure to deal greater damage. The technique can however only be used within a short range radius of yourself.

Okay then. I perform the tiger seal and start to use my suiton nature chakra to mold nearby water. With shape transformation, I mold the water into the general shape and size of a human identical to me. Then I start to make it mimic my outward appearance and a somewhat solid appearance as well.

As you state this is a relatively weak elemental clone. The clones cant move outside of short range of the user, can only use C ranked suitons, and require a water source. On the plus side they are small mobile water sources themselves should the user need them for a suiton jutsu that requires them. I do have some questions though. Can they perform taijutsu? If so up to what rank? The same goes for genjutsu and ninjutsu and I guess kenjutsu as well.

Onto the next jutsu.

I start to gather suiton chakra and use it to mold and manipulate the water beneath me. Using physical transformation, I make the water, under the surface, start to condense and spin. This creates spinning water tendrils underwater. Next I have the tendril arise out the water towards a block of wood floating on the water and destroy it.

This is great jutsu. Despite its low rank it can cause a large amount of permanent damage to the body. I can appear anywhere around the user and doesnt require handseals. Its main weakness is its limited range.

Suiton: Kirigakure Shiryoku Hakudatsu) - Water Release: Hidden Mist Eye Sight Deprevation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15(-3 each turn to keep it active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Using the hidden mist jutsu the user reflects the natural light an a way that it blinds there opponent temporarily as long as the opponent is in the mist.
Note: Must have already used hidden mist jutsu

Perform the hidden mist jutsu you previously learned and then manipulate the chakra infused mist to reflect the light shining upon it from outside the mist to blind your opponent, thus creating a pretty good advantageous situation for yourself.

(Suiton: Suishōha) - Water Style: Water Shock Wave
Rank: C-B-Rank
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15-20
Damage Points: 30-40
Descripton: This technique allows the user after claping their hands together to make a spiralling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

Clap your hands together and materialize a spiralling vortex of water around yourself out of thin air. This effectively provides you with a 360 degrees defense after which you can manipulate the vortex to cascade into a wave of water rampaging towards your target. Depending on the amount of chakra put in this technique can vary between C and B rank, though ofcourse you can only use the B-Ranked version after reaching B-Rank water in this training.

While on top of a water source, I use my suiton chakra to lift a large volume of water droplets into the air in order to create a heavy mist. From their I manipulate my own chakra infuse mist to shine light on a nearby tree. Had the tree been an enemy it would be blinded.

This is a good jutsu. It worsens the targets already nerfed sight. It still won't work on the byakugan though. I've had this technique used on my in a recent fight and defended against it by going underground via the hiding like a mole jutsu. With that being said the jutsu is distracting and creates and big opening for attacks like the silent killing technique.

Now I start to gather and mold suiton chakra. I then clap my hands and release it all around me in the form of a spiraling vortex through the use of shape manipulation. With further shape manipulation I change it into a wave of water and my intended target.

This is also a good jutsu. It provides an all around defense and can be changed into an offensive wave. A major problem with it is that it blocks your eye sight. Only a Byakugan user can see through it. One could hide underground or prepare a counter attack without the user even knowing. On the flip side if the jutsu is used in CQC, the user is more likely to hit the target.

Also I have a question. Can suitons that don't require water sources still be created using one if it doesnt say in the description of the jutsu. The creation of the jutsu would be a bit quicker wouldnt it, if that was possible right?

I will pause what you've been doing till this point and ask you about relationship between suiton and other elements. What happens when they collide and when they are used in combination with one another?

Okay. Suiton is the creation or manipulation of water through the use of chakra. When it hits a Katon, it will extinguish the flames. Steam can also be naturally created but it does not have chakra in it. Doton has the advantage over Suiton because it can act as a hardy defense as well as naturally absorb the water. Water can also be used to carry rock toward the target as well. Suiton naturally conducts raiton as in it acts a medium to hold the electricity or a way for it to travel. Suiton like any other chakra nature has an advantage over Raw chakra as well.

Suiton is neutral to Lava. I presume the water is evaporated but the lava is also cooled down to rock. Wood being strong, sturdy, and containing water can also hold its own against water. Crystal being even harder and denser can do the same. Water is twice as weak to ice. I assume because the ice is strong, dense, and can possibly freeze the water. Due to the mass of Water it is hard for Dark style jutsu's to absorb it compared to raw plasma like natures like fire and lightning. While suiton doesnt directly interact with swift chakra, it can decrease the friction of a surface and make it harder to a swift user to move. Steel can hold its own against water due to its natural strength. Boil release makes suiton acidic. Scorch practically instantly evaporates water. Water is a good insulator of kinetic force which makes it great for containing explosions from explosion release. Water makes paper less durable and weighs down sand. Water can be broken down by dust release also.

Lovely, lovely job. I'll just kinda add few things;

If let's say a B ranked fire technique and C ranked water technique clash, keeping in mind that their size is approximately the same, evaporation would be born. Although Mei is capable of using Boil Release, steam can also be formed this way, once fire release and water release clash. This is especially usable if you are a sensory ninja or are capable to in any way or form know where your opponent is standing. You will be capable of hiding your presence and thus create sneak attacks. Now if you know that your opponent is capable of sensing you could get rid of the steam by releasing wind which will passively blast away the steam as it continues towards opponent. When it comes to earth release, the structure of earth can easily nullify force which comes from the water element. However in some cases, when earth and water are used together mud could be born. Also, one more thing to add, is that, water will easilly increase the speed in which mud spreads. Keep tha in mind. Now lighting and water release are pretty neat combo. In our RP, lighting and water release are neutral to one another although lighting is not usually used as to defend against water release. Water release techniques are usually of higher mass then the one of lighting release. Now because water is capable of conducting lighting, one can easily kill opponent with this combination. And if water and wind were used in combination with one another, wind would enhance water. It would make the area water technique effects bigger, it would augment the speed of water release technique as well as range.

Any questions?

This next technique is quite useful, it is a type of a perception ninjutsu technique. User would upon performing a sequence of 6 hand seals, Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake, release previously gathered chakra into the sky above forming rain clouds, from which a rainfall would start. Now, senses of the user of the technique would be connected to that of the rain, which would allow for sensing capability in the area rain is affecting. Keeping in mind that the rain won't stop untill user decides to use but a single hand seal to stop it.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.
