sasuke becoming a rogue ninja is partially konoha's fault, during the sasuke retrieval arc they didn't take him seriosly and sent only genins to retrieve him..........if they had foreseen the future, they would have dispatched jounins after him.........................now he is a no 1 threat to konoha nd other great nations

its not easy to slay one's brother itachi only wanted to make sasuke strong in any way possible even vengeance
itachi looked at sauke the same way minato did when he entrusted minato with everything so i believe there's no way he could have killed him besides if itachi didn't kill sasuke the only other way he could prevent sasuke from becoming a pest was to commit suicide, that way there would be no one to take vengeance on

yeah but without Sasuke, Naruto wouldn't be as strong today, and Pain/Gaara/Kakuzu would have probably beaten Naruto.
