Zero kelvin I think you completely and I mean completely missed my point. Most of your second paragraph was an analogy of which I see no correlation to my point. But let me take a crack at what I am piecing together of whatever you meant. It really doesn't seem all that big of a deal. Judgement = reading a fight and saying what you think happened, I'm pretty sure everyone is capable of that and some regular members do it a lot. Debating on what to do in rp = well what I said: Obviously a debate on what you think should happen isn't that hard to do after all it's just your opinion along with taking other peoples opinion into account. People do this everyday in REAL LIFE it's a simple component of Normal conversation. Checking cjs= this is the only thing that could feasibly take more then the daily amount of time and effort that go into having a normal conversation or doing things that members on here that don't even rp do everyday. For instance people like dr proof and blaze release. But vincent doesn't even do this so it has no place in the debate. Yes with 4-5 checkers checking cjs SHOULD be easier. But I understand how people's schedules and timezones don't work out. So I'm recognizing that this could actually be a semi difficult thing to do, but still as far as a lot of actual "work" no. Time consuming? Yes. Beyond this I have no idea what could possibly make this hard. All in saying is that 70% and probably more could handle this job. I've modded a forum bigger than the rp before so im not talking out of my ass here.

I have no idea what you mean by that analogy in your second paragraph. I'm not criticizing you, he'll I've been guilty of taking it too serious. I'm saying EVERYONE as a whole needs to step back and put things into perspective. It seems like your asking about my ability to judge their jobs but I'm not sure. If you are like I said I've done the reporting **** before I've went through and tattled to the admin about rule breaking before. I've dealt with the ass kissing and I've been "behind the scenes" I've been there before, besides I'm not criticizing ALL the mods. I don't think Vincent is a good mod and I have a right to think that It's simply my opinion. I'm not telling everyone else to follow it. I think all the other mods do a very good job at what they do. And I think they try their best. Especially Dante and scorps , they damn near carry the whole weight of the rp by themselves

So you say, yet when Dante specifically informs you how Vincent carries a huge part of the burden, you ignore it?

@ Regarding tests - Lol. Just lol. As much as it might seem simple, there're hundreds of fine specifications as to how an ability is supposed to be used. As a judge; you need to know the abilities. I don't think you fully comprehend how much technical information we've got ingrained into this RP and the tests that go with it.

@ Regarding your 'mod-job' - Yes, you are talking out of your ass. You've been a moderator of a very different forum with a different fanbase and a different basis. It's irrelevant. The only thing it might count for is some experience in maintaining a forum.

@ Regarding your opinion - Of course you have a right to an opinion, but I'll argue against it and judge you for having it. You seem to live by generalization upon generalization. I mean really: "All in saying is that 70% and probably more could handle this job."
You lack perspective. It's not a simple job. Being a moderator is a set of duties you get beyond what you already have in real-life. I hate the 'the Mods have lives'-excuse, but there is merrit in it to a degree. Our cleaners and designers go to school, they go to work, they do laundry and cook dinner. Unlike most of our members, 70% of which you believe to be ready for a Staff-position, the bigger part of our Mods are above the age of 18 with duties of their own. Yes, we could make some 15-year-old guy a Mod, but, like most members, he lacks maturity, perspective and, most importantly, experience.

@ Guilty - Wut? There's nothing to be guilty about. exchange 'it' for football, or Game of Thrones, or homework and you get the same result: a hobby that you subjectively believe some people are taking too seriously.
Guilty my ass.

And please take the whole 'I've been there and done it twice'-act elsewhere. For the love of God.

I have to agree with the real life thing, i mean i come on NB for fun yes, i think if i had to come to NB to work, then log off NB to work some more, then sleep....Then wake up have breakfast, log on NB to work, then work on NB while working on other stuff, i would probably rage break, ban loads of people for no apparent reason, just so i feel better, then burn someone alive.
Then sleep again and the cycle continues, there is a lot of pressure in mod work, as for the tests, i can understand the point, i take it as one of my goals to learn everything i can about every bio KG and ability in the RP, and i still make mistakes even though i have been reading the RP on this site since 2008.

Actually I never touched on conducting a test in fact I completely forgot about it and your right that's something your average everyday person couldn't do correct. However Vincent also doesn't do this so it has no bearing. I was talking about looking at what happen in a fight and saying what you think happened people on this site do it all the time it's not hard.

Yes in that instance I was talking about running a forum, being behind the scenes as you say which I assume is what "work" theyre talking about. I really don't see how it can be that different he Teno is an rp mod and he tells me it isn't that hard to do and he checks cjs, conducts tests and all that good stuff .

And you have a right to question my opinion however it will remain stout in the face of your judgement. Jokey is like 15-16 and he's a sensei. Im also 75% sure that riku is under 18. Btw Ik it might be different in other countries but here in America (as far as I know) anime is viewed as a "cartoon" by the general population and as such is though to be meant for younger kids. Hell one of my teachers saw me browsing this site and said "get off the Pokemon chat room" lol so I think that I'd anyone would be suited to run a naruto forum it would be a younger kid under 18. I wouldn't see the problem with it. After all it's only a forum for naruto role playing. In fact SINCE most mods here have duties outside of the rp I don't see why you WOULDNT put a 15 year old as a mod. Bishamon was 15 when he started rp'ing

Ah I understand now. Okay well obviously to me and you there are different "levels" of being too serious. But putting this rp in front of your grades in school is WAY too serious don't you agree?

@ RED - I'm sure Teno thinks it's easy and I'm sure he does what he's supposed to do....
But does he do it well?

@ BLUE - I hope you can see how fundamentally wrong that is. Really, that part of your post sent you from half potato to full potato.
Naruto is a Shōnen manga. That is correct. Its target audience is about 15.
How old are its designers? Its creators?
It's one thing to be a member or a viewer and quite another to be the Moderator and/or creator. And age isn't always a factor for maturity. Hellsbadass, who's about 24, is currently begging Lawliet and Ira to perma-ban someone who disagreed with him in a discussion. At the same time we've got 16 and 17-year-olds like Riku and Reborn who control the scene with finesse and bravour. We need serious and mature Staff-members. Why? Because even with the rough but pretty fair crew we're crusing with right now, we've got tons of people yelling 'foul play'.
Did you know that, if the Admins didn't care, the Mods could just ban you for annoying them? As 'traveled' as you are internet-wise, I'm sure you've stumbled upon RoT's on forums, neh? It's not a pretty sight.

@ YELLOW - And Bishamon was, well, retarded when he began role-playing. As was I, as were we all.
Experience is key. Maturity is key.

@ BOLDED - That's not for me to decide and it's certainly not for you to decide. I would mock that choice, sure, but we have very few extremes cases like that, and I see no reason to group the many with the few.
