Seeing as how Chidori is created on the palms, I'd say even if you do trap him, he'll cancel his Chidori and he can save himself. Cuz as I understand, the orb would be created starting from his feet.

Just cast bringer of darkness followed by birth of dense woodland to create a super dense forest all the way around him up to short range then explode the center of the forest. Best used with a clone tho.
