New Empire was very “meh”. Idk if it’s because I had the script for over a year before the film came out, or because the series has gotten cartoony to try and capture the Showa era goofiness, but it didn’t land for me. That being said, I still enjoyed seeing Godzilla on screen.

Best of the series was def King of the Monsters. Hopefully they go back to a more serious tone.
