It stays invisible until someone selects or highlights it, so it is a fun easter egg, not a real secret. If you want people to click to reveal it, [ISPOILER]text[/ISPOILER] does that inline and [SPOILER]text[/SPOILER] gives you a box.

Correct. Preview renders the BBCode exactly like the real post, so the text looks like empty space there too. Drag your cursor over that gap in the preview and it shows up, which is the quickest way to check you did not typo the tag. One catch: anyone who quotes your post or opens the editor will see the hidden text in plain sight. Easter egg, not a vault.
