pulls the King of Beasts file out of the drawer, blows the sand off it

Your own cast list, from your own threads. Fine. This is what the public record shows, my tally, not official:

Champions of Humanity vs Shukaku
  • Nacht: the One-Tails' host. He went down unconscious and Shukaku broke out of him in the cave.[/*]
  • Lucifer: Uzumaki chakra chains with a sealing effect that froze the Tanuki, plus sea powers worn thin by too many fights.[/*]
  • Merlin: raised the Wood Human, the wooden giant that went toe to toe with Shukaku and literally caught its Tailed Beast Ball.[/*]
  • Naruto: the Nine-Tails' jinchuuriki, cleaning up stray wind with a Planetary Rasengan.[/*]
  • Shukaku: the One-Tails itself, run as the beast NPC.[/*]

Kokuo at Darkcloud Peak
  • Strix: your partner in that hunt, cyborg Absorption Arm that ate the water dragon, and the 1000m Punch to Kokuo's head while you took the forelegs.[/*]
  • Venasaur: Strix's summoning, whose wooden pillars kept draining the beast's chakra.[/*]
  • Kokuo: the Five-Tails, steam and fury, who knew her smaller siblings were already caught and still lost. Last seen dreaming of meadows in the Land of Fire.[/*]

The Bašmu in the Kaizoku Sea
  • Alucard: Tenseigan Chakra Mode, void artifacts, bone wings, and the line "I refuse to die at the hands of this overgrown worm."[/*]
  • Sif and Solaire: the ninken. Merged into a giant winged werewolf, carried you both, and kept the mental link that let Alucard track the beast.[/*]
  • The Bašmu: Beast of Rot, third of Tiamat's children of the Genesis Seal, hungry since the Great War. You put it under the waves with a Howling Beast Fang.[/*]

The gaps
The Nine-Tails fight in the Chungsu rift is only a mention to me, so no cast. Falnir and Phetra from your Irkalla deaths only show up in your bio and in your own Bašmu post, I can't find those threads publicly. And Isara of the Monks of the Human Order is bio, not mission. Drop the links in here someday and my file gets thicker.

These are cool, but they’re almost all player character. I was moreso looking for characters like those of the Inuzuka clan featured in the Deep Lake landmark

slides the cast list back into the drawer, takes out an empty folder labeled "Deep Lake"

Ah, the NPCs, not the heroes. That folder is thinner than I'd like: I don't have the Deep Lake landmark or its Inuzuka in my public record yet, and I'm not going to invent a clan of dogs and call it lore. I'm digging it up and I'll come back to you with the real names.

drops a second, much hairier file on the table

Checked with the staff, and they pointed me to the right drawer: Deep Lake (041). Your clan, your NPCs. My tally, not official:

  • Sýr: your father and the former clan head, who now has to lower his head to you and brought the map of the Ninja World to plan the expansion. source
  • Izuri: your mother. source
  • Hawke: the First Elder, the strongest of the three elders and the old man with fire in his eyes. source
  • Holo: one of the three elders and the only woman among them, who laid out which eastern landmarks get claimed first. source
  • The Third Elder: shows up announcing the duel, but never gets a name.
  • Jamis: grandson of the First Elder. source
  • Ada: the short-haired woman who moves as your shadow, invisible until called, and who kept your parents posted on you. source
  • Mobu, Shin, Moro and San: your closest friends and lieutenants, one per border (north, east, west, south), each with four squad leaders under them. source
  • Jin-Roh: not a person but the clan's top-secret intelligence organization. source

I left the ninken out (Fūjin, Sif, Sirris, Shiranui, Ryūjin), they're partners, not clan members. Gap: the Third Elder's name, unless you've hidden it somewhere I haven't sniffed out yet.

@Yoru are you able to link me to any threads that explain the action of freeform dodges as well as any rp guides for maintaining the time frame?

@Yoru are you able to link me to any threads that explain the action of freeform dodges as well as any rp guides for maintaining the time frame?

pulls two scrolls from the midnight-blue coat and slides them across the table

Free dodges first:
- Basic Battle Rules: if you're faster than the technique and have room, you can dodge it without spending a jutsu. One free dodge per turn, max 5 m. Anything beyond that needs a movement technique.
- Attribute System: AGL 8 stretches that free dodge to 10 m, AGL 9 to 15 m.
- Speed and Tracking Chart: the speeds you compare against, including jutsu speeds per element.
- Damage and Health System: below 70% health your free dodge only works every other turn. Small print, big funerals.

Timeframe:
- Maintaining Timeframe: a member guide by Geezus on the order of actions and how long they logically take.
- RP FAQ: the battling section covers timeframe, interfering and jutsu clashes.
- Basic Battle Rules again for the core rule: the first aggressive action starts the fight and can't be prevented.

Heads up: the chart sets base speed by rank, the Attribute System by AGL points. If those clash in a fight, ask a Sensei or an RP mod which one applies. Now go dodge something.

No worries, thank you for the assist

I can break it down more simply if you need it. Freeform dodging is a hella useful and simple concept nowadays actually.

Understood. I didn't mean any harm. It just feels bad that I'll never be a sensei or a real contributing factor to the health of the RP so it was just a nice thought of mine but I totally understand.

This weekend. Too busy during the week usually.
Fine.
