It's just more wishing for a more traditional setting is all. Like part 1 or shippuden.
Not only for the story and setting but also its not a huge jump to the next technology etc.

It's not mad, just not my flavour/style is all.

Edit: to reiterate, it's just my own personal opinion of it being changed from a ninja setting to a fantasy RPG setting is all

It is more like those settings, ninjutsu is just a thing. It's not high tech making them the boats fly

Besides you even see old airships, they slow as hell and quite immobile and easy targets like there is a reason they are not actually used irl for transport .......
