Fr I wanted to go merchant just to chill but the rules in what stuff could be made etc were a bit unclear. However, who knows maybe I'll prod it back to life for this new NW

You're not going to lose your eyes, brother lol. I don't think anything implemented at the moment will get removed at all. The lore around it can still exist from a different time period or even different reality. Or, we can simply just not know about the ability. That's how almost every KKG is. No one really knows until they face it because its so rare. Canonically that's how it is, anyway.
