You could do training missions, you have the possibility to train your skills and earn Kumi at the same time that way

Its actually not all that much. Game is better than its ever been. Way more accessible and the NW isn't just so linear to where if you stick your big toe in enemy territory it causes a war. We just truly living like shinobi in an open world to explore now. Its great. Come back. I'll help you with everything if need be.

Honestly I'd probably just treat it like a brand new game.
Tldr is you have actual stats now. Each one related to certain abilities or stats.
You get base 9 for free now.
All abilities are bought by kumi.
Kumi is earned through ninja world missions or trading customs.
Any further questions probably better to answer via dm or chats
