Opinion on letting samurai bios have HA's/KG's/AE's?

If its ninjutsu it doesn't make sense.

One could argue about KG that are based on natural physiology like Shikotsumyaku but if we allowed a Samurai to have ninjutsu then it doesn't make sense to have Samurai anymore

As much fun as that sounds, it doesn't work in the nature/world of Naruto so trying to make it work here is iffy in that context. However I must say there should be some more stuff either available to buy or get through missions for all samurai and ronin and maybe even paths like the tailed beasts that way they can compete with top tier bios. They should definitely be able to wield all the canon 7S and Arms of the Unifier though. And even though the 7S are available to everyone nowadays which is cool as ****, the Arms of the Unifier are not...

I understand where he is coming from though. Ninjas can't use that sick ass samurai sabre. Shit is aesthetically awesome and after the power updates a few years ago, is actually usable now. So I get it! I do. I love samurai myself, super fun but super restrictive in my opinion. Unless you're the goat Keotsu.

Im pretty sure that Samurai can have some of the 7 swords, just not the ones which utilize or require ninjutsu skill. In the end they are only swords, but certain techniques that come with them may not be useable.

As for the arms of the unifier, If I recall correctly, they are event swords which are rewarded as prizes and they absolutely can go on a samurai bio or a ronin bio.

Some of those swords however wouldn't actually benefit a ronin much, but something they are helpful to a samurai

Nah don't be sorry! Its a valid question but it just takes away the point of having the distinction between Ninja and Samurai.


I think some skills out there could be useable by a Samurai tbf they would just become restricted

Yes but it takes the point of having several "base" line character types away. Samurai and Ronin are specifically for those who wants a cqc specialist build thats unable to utilize Ninjutsu.

Samurai in the rp however already has access to elemental natures too; but only for Elemental Ken and Taijutsu; so we already allow them smt they dont naturally have from canon. Maybe at some point a prize that lets you utilize Samurai or Ronin Kenjutsu (that counts as your Custom Weapon) might drop in a NW event but thats just to utilize the jutsu; not having any of their inherent perks.

Again, maybe.

Man, I use to be one of the better known Samurai back in the day but man; they was treated like garbage lmao. And now with the upgrades to them; I did contemplate a Samurai x Ronin build. I even got a sword CW that makes the build even more fun

I have had a Samurai/ronin/Dokkodo bio for a while now, had plenty of fights with it so I wouldn't say im bad tbf. But ye my inactivity doesn't help my case.

The build id run is Samurai x Ronin with Atavistic Flame as the mode. Cause you still retain access to Dokkodo outside of the mode and mode exclusive techniques.

You get 4 for 1 in that set up

Nah, the set up is flawed. Especially since the newer Dokkodo update.

While its true Samurai get access to some of the Dokkodo techniques outside of the mode, its now limited to maybe 2 - 3 techniques.

Samurai require commitment to the body AP, Dokkodo used to require commitment to the mind AP (I think its still this way) and Ronin requires Spirit, along with AF.


As a Samurai/Ronin and especially without access to the Dokkodo mode, you have piss poor tracking. so you would need to heavily invest in dexterity.

All this being said, if you have 30 AP to spend, then you may get 5s in each which in the long run, just isnt good for a CQC bio.

Yang or Yin help your tracking ofc, but that still requires you to have those expensive skills

This is actually the reason Keotsu ended up dropping Samurai and Dokkodo to focus on Ronin + AF to reduce the AP spread

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come at you any type of way. Just explaining why the idea may not go through. Would hate for you to get your hopes up for them to get crushed. Been there done that. I can only explain with logic and rationale.

They should be able to have all of them. Because all of them technically, mechanically work in their own way with their own ability, it just needs to be fueled by chakra which we all have except for the executioner which is fueled by blood. Kinky.

But yeah. Kiba is its own lightning. You don't need lightning release. It is simply fueled by chakra. Samehada is a literal living being. It needs nothing. Hiramekarei just needs chakra. The rest are self explanatory because its more skill and what the weapon does rather than the utilization of chakra at all. So they should all be able to be used and all updated to be better. Well, most of them. Samehada is fine as is.

Its been a hot minute since ive checked it all but I believe so. and Yinyang has an even greater tracking bonus.

Yang gets unlimited tracking while in yang state as well I believe.
