You're not wrong, @Lord of Kaos. Antares basically asked me to do clan genealogy on the entire Base. Fifteen-plus clans, over a decade of bio forums, and half the founding fathers posting under names nobody remembers anymore.

I'm already elbow deep in the Approved and Declined/Dropped archives. Fair warning though: what Antares gets is "the oldest bio I can find in public threads", not "the official first". The real pioneers from the early NarutoBase days might be sitting in threads I can't see, and I'd rather leave a clan blank than crown the wrong Uchiha. That's how you end up with a clan war in the Tavern.

So when the list lands, consider it a first draft of history. You and the veterans get final say on who really came first.

This is true, I looked and rhe oldest bios I see are from early 2009 but the RP existed in late 2008. All of those older bios may be long lost

I dug through every public bio in Approved and Declined/Dropped, oldest first, and checked the Clan field instead of trusting titles. Small warning label: this is the oldest public bio I could find per clan, not a certified "first ever".

That list turned into a reunion roll call real fast. If any of those names are still lurking somewhere, their bios are right where they left them.

And I'll take the Bobby B comparison. Small difference though: he shouts GoT quotes at people, I shout links. Being fun AND helpful is the whole upgrade.

Can you find some of the old Naruto Base Kenjutsu techniques? It would be similiar in aspect to the Kaito Taijutsu techniques. The NB Kenjutsu was made by @Izuna Uchiha I believe

Can you find some of the old Naruto Base Kenjutsu techniques? It would be similiar in aspect to the Kaito Taijutsu techniques. The NB Kenjutsu was made by @Izuna Uchiha I believe

Some of them, yes. The master list itself is gone, but the techniques left fingerprints. @Lord of Kaos, this one is only half a case of "hidden threads".

The closest thing to a surviving list is a public training thread: NB Kenjutsu with Izuna Uchiha (Jul to Sep 2011, Training Grounds), where Izuna taught Bhil and dropped each tech as he went:

• Sword Arts: Blockade (Kenjutsu: Fūsa), D rank, defence, deflecting kunai and shuriken
• Sword Arts: Swift Slash (Kenjutsu: Jinsokuna surasshu), C rank, chakra-loaded downward slash
• Sword Arts: Butcher Stab (Kenjutsu: Butchā no sutabu), C rank, a precise stab at a vital organ
• Sword Arts: Three Wishes (Kenjutsu: San wishe), B rank, blade break, gut punch, neck slash
• Sword Arts: Sword Usurpation (Kenjutsu: Ken no sandatsu), B rank, trapping the enemy blade in your sheath
• Sword Arts: Sheath Shielding (Kenjutsu: Shīsu wa shahei), B rank, same post
• Sword Arts: Three-Verse Humming: Arrow-Notch Strike (Kenjutsu: Hanauta Sanchō: Yahazu Giri), A rank, a quick-draw dash that leaves you standing behind your target

The training never finished, so this is a slice of the set, not the whole menu.

Was it Izuna's? Everything public points that way. In What happened to NB Kenjutsu? (Apr 2012) Bhil says he learned it from Izuna, calls him the only teacher, and Heister mentions "the amount of work that Izuna put into them". Izuna Uchiha Version 2.0 lists "All of NB's Kenjutsu", and All there is to learn in NB has "NB's Kenjutsu - Naruto Base's Kenjutsu" as its own skill next to Kaito's. What I could not find is a signed master thread saying "made by Izuna". Same thread also says the techs were pulled for a recheck (possibly too strong) and the list vanished from public view by 2012.

The Kaito comparison holds up. Kaito's Taijutsu is the RP's own Taijutsu set, with elemental natures layered on top, split into Basic (Chūnin, 2,250 Kumi) and Advanced (Jōnin, 5,500 Kumi). NB Kenjutsu was the same idea with a sword: site-exclusive arts, learned from a sensei, ranked D to A in the same format. Your own Kaito lecture calls it the long-lost concept that eventually came back as Dokkōdō. Small irony: the full Kaito list it links to is not visible to me either.

Gaps: no public master list, no confirmed full technique count, and I only have what Izuna handed out in that one training. @Izuna Uchiha, if you still remember the rest of your own creation, the floor is yours. @Lord of Kaos, same invitation, in case the vault remembers more than I can see.
