Im like.. OH so curious.... It took Kakashi and Gai HOW LONG to arrive on the battle field? Not only that but they said they stayed still until the time was right.. But maybe about 50chapters ago they said they were on their way.. Like. We went through a whole kage massacre, Jinchuruki ass whoopen, AND Kabutomaru pwnge (Dont know if that was before or after)

Madara got their in a splif second.. but Konoha 11 arent? Neji has the byakugan so im damn sure he can see naruto gettn pwned. Kiba and his dog im sure can smell the blood madara shedding from these fools. not only that but for somebody that loves naruto (Hinata and supposdley sakura) They are taking their time. If it was a girl I love! I would open up about 4gates.. (Even i dont have it) ill pretend and trick my brain and Im hitting ghost on those fools. Not only that but LEE.. Does he not know his MENTOR is about to be killed?! like DAMN! open some gates and LEAVE!! but this can all be resolved

Well time is not a really a factor remember most of this fight is in the span of five minutes seeing that's how long he can hold bm. I mean this could be like 15 minute battle

it will turn out just like the cell saga when gohan goes super saiyan two. The z fighters are getting beatdown by cell jrs and gohan goes nuts so the K11 will get to the battlefield be all heroic and maybe possibly some will die and it will give naruto the strength to overcome madara

If you want a "logical" explanation, just think of it as Naruto & Bee were Jinchuriki so they were able to traverse the battleground faster than regular soldiers (Kakashi & Guy are much more above average, even though I don't like to think that way...)

Kakashi and Guy are way faster than your average chunin/jonin. The same probably goes for Madara.

The thing is, the army probably did not want to split, that's why it's the slowest in the army that dictate the speed at which they run.

As others have said, the top jonin (like Guy adn Kakashi - and certainly Madara) are a lot faster, and the battles take minutes, though it may seem like days to us readers. Also Kakashi and Guy must have left before the rest of the armies, they probably left the remaining Mist swordsmen to their divisions, so the rest of the troops continued fighting after they left.
Another consideration is the location of the troops. I think the 5 Kages and Kakashi's division were the closest to Naruto's location - the others were further west (e.g. near the beach).
And finally, it is entirely possible they were blocked by more enemy troops (zetsu's) coming their way - after all, the Zetsu's can continue producing new ones at will and there probably still are 30-40K of them left...

The only few of use would be Neji, Lee, Shikamaru and butterfly Chouji at this point.

The rest can basically be considered fodder against opponents such as this.
